One of the things that makes NCIS the most-watched program on CBS is the fact that the cast seems to have such great chemistry.

Katrina Law, star of the show who plays Jessica Knight, posted a quirky selfie she took with some costars. Brian Dietzen has been with the show for quite some time as Dr. Jimmy Palmer. Of course, Law was hanging close to Wilmer Valderrama as well. Nick Torres and Knight are a fun duo on the show.

NCIS does not have a new episode scheduled this week, but there will be a return to new shows starting on January 17. So, in the meantime fans will have to just take in the behind-the-scenes pictures, videos, and teasers that will surely come out in the next week. Let’s start with Law’s selfie. Check out the Instagram post below and see it for yourself.

It looks like the three costars are just hanging out and enjoying some brief downtime. Filming the show must be difficult at times. All the running and shouting, filming outdoors in all kinds of hot or cold. However, the results speak for themselves. The show led the way when it came to viewers this fall season.

So far, this has been a pretty consequential season. Gibbs has left for Alaska. He is no longer the team leader. In his place is Gary Cole’s Alden Parker. The FBI agent has his work cut out for him. Torres, Knight, McGee, and the rest of the team have been adjusting to the new dynamics.

While NCIS fans have tuned in more than on any other show, is everything going well?

‘NCIS’ Says Team is a ‘Family’ But Fans Disagree

Part of this season has been getting fans to warm up to the new team leader. Parker is a good character. And, as far as replacements for Gibbs goes, he is probably the best you could hope for. However, after so many years, there are still Gibbs diehards. The show has been trying to make the team feel like a family again.

However, there are fans that think it is being forced. With so many new changes in recent years, how can it be a family? There are some fans that have a good point to make about the “family” dynamic and whether it is real or not. But, if you work with someone in life or death situations, then those connections might happen a bit quicker than normal.

While there will always be those that miss Gibbs, this is the new NCIS. Alden Parker is in charge and it is going to take time to get used to. Writers and producers are going to do their best to make sure the show is enjoyable for fans. Even without Gibbs, the NCIS team is needed. There are more crimes to solve as the season continues.
