Earlier this week on Wednesday, Brandt Osborn, an actor from Staten Island, was arrested on the set of NCIS: Los Angeles for accessory to manslaughter.
Osborn was arrested along with two other men. The arrests stem from the deaths of Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola. LAPD also arrested Michael Ansbach and David Pearce. Pearce, 37, is being charged with manslaughter. Ansbach, 47, is also being charged with accessory to manslaughter. The LAPD released a statement on the matter.
“It is believed that both women were given drugs and overdosed,” the department said, “Based on the investigation, the LAPD is concerned that there could be other victims in our community who could have been drugged by one or more of these men.”
Giles, a 24-year-old Instagram model was found dead outside an LA hospital. She had just attended a house party with friends back in November. Cabrales-Arzola, a 26-year-old designer was found at a different hospital. While she was found alive, she was taken off of life-support weeks later.
Osborn was arrested on a felony charge on the set of NCIS: Los Angeles. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail. The other two men were booked on Wednesday as well. There are no further details at this time regarding the allegations. According to the details we know at this time, two other actors on set talked to the media about Osborn. The man apparently had told them about the incident.
‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Actor Shared Details About Drugging and Dropping Off Two Women
When Muriettta Jr. talked about his encounter with Osborn he noted that the actor was telling them the details during a commercial shoot. “I have had the craziest weekend of my life,” Murietta recalled Osborn saying. However, the details that followed were shocking to say the least.
It was shortly after when Osborn’s roommate told him that Giles was dead.
“He checked her [Giles] pulse, freaked out, decided not to call 911, and they decided what to do with the body,” Murietta continued. “Then they didn’t know what to do, they didn’t want to call 911 and get in trouble, so they decided to drive and drop her body at Culver City hospital. He was like ‘we dropped the first girl off, we came back to our place’ then he checked the second girl’s pulse and it was very faint, so they tried to decide what to do with the second girl. Got her in the car and decided to drop her off at a second hospital so they didn’t get caught.”
What sounds like a terrifying episode of NCIS: Los Angeles or another crime drama is sadly anything but. The incident occurred last month. Now, Giles’ husband has asked for help. Although his wife has passed, he wants to try and find other potential victims.
The LAPD believes that there could be more victims. They say this is “an active and ongoing situation.”
