‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Star Offers Her Thoughts on Kensi, Deeks Possibly Having Children

If you are an avid viewer of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” then you know that Kensi and Marty Deeks, played by Eric Christian Olsen, are a married couple.

They are even talking about having children, too. But when?

Ahead of Season 13, Ruah talked about the possible baby situation.

She said that they “just want a little kid to love.” That’s sweet. As fans know, Blye has had fertility issues in the past.

The couple is planning to look at adopting a baby. Now the subject does come up in an episode this season when a hate crime against an Asian-American happens.

What does this have to do with Kensi and Deeks? Ruah said in an interview that the couple “ticked the box (on the adoption application) that race wasn’t an issue, but didn’t think what that might entail.”

The actress added, “You want this child to relate to their natural-born culture and fit in.”

Keep an eye out, also, for Ruah’s directorial debut on “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

She will direct an episode while Olsen writes the script. Yes, they are working together on an episode behind the cameras.

Ruah said in an interview with The Herald News that she feels really excited about doing this.

“I’m loving it,” she said. “It’s a passion I’ve had for a long time, but I never gave it a try out of fear.”
