Eric Christian Olsen of NCIS: Los Angeles enjoys playing Marty Deeks on the show, but he also has a deep, abiding love for family.

Olsen took to Instagram on Thursday and shared this sweet photo of one of his children.

Some of his fans following his account left comments.

“Great photo,” writes Hollywoodroman_m.

“Nice Lion King reference” comes from bestofncisla.

Then nannytofive writes, “As if creating a human being wasn’t miraculous enough, watching that gorgeous being flourish is even more amazing! She is beautiful!”

Outsiders, we do not know exactly which daughter the NCIS: Los Angeles star is featuring in this pic. We do know that he has two daughters, Esme’ Olivia and Winter Story, with his wife, Sarah Wright. The couple also has a son, Wyatt Oliver.

As for what Olsen’s Deeks is doing these days on the CBS drama, he’s staying connected to Kensi Blye, played by Daniela Ruah. The in-show couple keeps talking about having a family and looking at adoption.

While they have a connection on the screen, both are connected in some way in real life. Ruah is married to David Olsen, Eric’s brother and stunt double, on the show.

Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J star as G. Callen and Sam Hanna, respectively, on the show. Catch it on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central, on CBS.

‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Star Said that He’s Got ’15 Episodes’ Written In His Head

This season, Olsen and Ruah do share screentime as they work on cases.

Yet the NCIS: Los Angeles actors also spent time working behind the camera on an episode.

Olsen wrote, and Ruah directed an episode this season. Does he have more episodes ready?

“I think I probably have about 15 episodes written in my head right now,” Olsen said. “You wake up in the middle of the night and you’ve got an amazing new cold open.”

Olsen just doesn’t want to write episodes, though. He wants go into the background of the show’s most beloved figure.

“I think that for me, the thing that I love the most about the show — the pillar of the show — is Linda [Hetty],” Olsen said about Linda Hunt, who plays Hetty Lange. “After her accident, it’s something that I really missed and I think the audience feels that as well — her POV, her character’s POV, and the strength and gravitas that she brings to the show, but also to the dynamic of the team.

“I really wanted to do a deep-dive with a story for her and I knew that when I got an opportunity to write my first episode, that’s what we would do,” Olsen said.
