‘NCIS: Los Angeles’: Kensi Puts Herself in the Line of Fire in Upcoming Episode

by Jonathan Howard

Finally, new NCIS: Los Angeles after five long weeks of hiatus. Now that the show is back, we can take time to look ahead at what’s next.

In the last episode of the show, things got very serious. There were drugs, conversations about PTSD, a potential suicide, and a lot of drama. However, with that behind us for the moment, let’s talk about the episode coming up next Sunday night. We are going to get to see Daniela Ruah return after she had directing duties last episode.

The episode is titled A Land of Wolves. And, not only will Ruah be back, her character Kensi Blye will be at the heart of the action. This is a personal story for the actress and the character. The NCIS: Los Angeles agent is going to be helping migrants start their lives over. Then, she disappears after confronting an unexpected foe.

So, it is clear that this means there will be a couple of tasks for the rest of the team. First and foremost, they have to find their team member, Kensi, and find her fast. There is no telling what might happen to her if they don’t. They also are going to want to find her in one piece. What good is a rescue mission if the target doesn’t make it out healthy and alive?

Here is the full synopsis of the upcoming NCIS: Los Angeles episode: “The NCIS team scrambles to find Kensi, when she is attacked and kidnapped by a mysterious militia group while helping a group of migrants cross the border.” Perhaps this means some sort of anti-immigrant extremists are after Blye? We’ll have to wait and see.

‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Two-Part Event?

While we are looking ahead to the future, there are a couple of things to note. There will likely be a point in the future sooner or later where the show takes a week or two off. Now, that could be for a variety of reasons. However, you can usually expect NCIS: Los Angeles to take one more small break after the winter hiatus.

While that might be coming up in the future, there is something else that fans should take note of. This episode, A Land of Wolves is scheduled for January 9th. The 16th does not have an episode scheduled for that week. At least not a new episode. So, there’s our small break. But, this is still good news because it means that something else is right around the corner.

On January 23, NCIS: Los Angeles is going to have a huge night. There will be a big two-episode event that could be anything! Perhaps the team has to go and find Blye. Or, Hetty has gotten into some trouble while off on her mission. There are a lot of directions this could go and a lot more where they could end up.
