Eric Christian Olsen, one of the stars of NCIS: Los Angeles, enjoyed the sweetest moment on Saturday with his adorable daughter.

In Saturday’s photo, Olsen is having the perfect girl-dad moment. He and his oldest daughter, Esme, were having a coffee date. His wife, Sarah Wright Olsen, posted the snap.

“Last year of preschool for this one,” the NCIS: Los Angeles star’s wife writes. “And we love our morning coffee dates.

Sarah continues: “I use to go on dates with my dad when I was in school. Even in high school we would meet every Wednesday and have Chinese food. I loved my time with him and I remember how special it was to be one on one.”

NCIS: Los Angeles Star Said He Wants to Bring Country Together

Olsen and his wife are the parents of three children. Son Wyatt is the oldest. He’s eight. Esme is 5 and baby Winter is 1. And the NCIS: Los Angeles star loves to share snaps of his kids. After all, with all the toxicity on social media, cute dad-daughter photos are a definitive timeline cleanser.

During an interview in 2019, with cartermatt.com, Olsen spoke about how he thinks storytelling can bring the country closer.

“In my childhood, the biggest things that landed for me came in the form of stories,” Olsen said. “My dad was an English professor — understanding the Holocaust came through Sophie’s Choice. Understanding racism in the fifties in Chicago came through Richard Wright. So much of my understanding of the world came through these great stories.”

He continued: “I think that we, as a country, have become so divided, so to have any storytelling that brings us together as a nation or gives us something that we’ve never understood before is something that I’m looking for.”

Olsen plays Marty Deeks on the series. On the show, he’s married to agent Kensi Blye, portrayed by Daniela Ruah. Both actors have precious children in real life. Ruah is the mother of two and is married to Olsen’s older brother.

Should Deeks and Kensi Start a Family?

And on NCIS: Los Angeles, the show is exploring whether Deeks and Kensi should start a family. The couple filled out adoption paperwork in the season 13 premiere. But will they go through with it?

In the last episode, Deeks and Kensi were protecting the daughter of a CIA operative. And the daughter told them about how her dad died when she was 11. The daughter didn’t know it at the time, but her mother had been killed that day while in NCIS custody.

Deeks talked about the conversation he had with the daughter as an investigator gathered information about the mother’s death.

“Law enforcement officers getting killed in line of duty has crossed our minds once or twice,” Deeks told the investigator. “If Kensi died … I just can’t imagine being operational with an 11 year old. Yet that’s exactly what Laura Song chose to do.”

NCIS: Los Angeles returns with a new episode Sunday night.
