NCIS: Los Angeles has been one of the more successful spin-offs in recent years. Part of that has to do with the stacked cast, perhaps highlighted by LL Cool J who has been with the program since the beginning. Even though he has been a star on the CBS drama for years now, along with his own success on the music trail, the actor and artist has not forgotten his roots. In a new photo, LL Cool J made sure to remind folks he has not forgotten where he came from.

In a new Instagram post, LL Cool J of NCIS posted a photo of himself with a hoodie that reads “I Represent Queens” on it.

For the caption, LL Cool J of NCIS wrote, “Do it well or not at all… LL COOL J X @therealcloney — 12.15.21”

Fans loved the post. One fan wrote in the comments, “This is a good one!”

Another fan wrote, “And you do it the best @llcoolj.”

Why LL Cool J Joined ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’

LL Cool J joined NCIS: Los Angeles years ago now, but it was such a big move at the time for the actor and artist. It obviously paid off for the star as the show is still going strong with him at the helm. He spoke about taking the role and why he ultimately wanted to take on the challenge of such a difficult and challenging role like the one he plays on the program.

He said, “I had a great experience on another drama. I did the season opener of another drama a few seasons ago and I caught the bug. I really wanted to act, and I wanted to act on a regular basis. And I wanted to challenge myself and allow myself to go on another level and allow myself to mature and experience something new in my life.”

LL Cool J longed for the consistency that a show like NCIS: Los Angeles brings, which is perhaps why he still acts for the show still today.

He continued, “And part of that maturity process is not continuing to do the same things that you’ve always done. So, I decided to commit to this show, commit to what I thought was a great team. I believe in the NCIS brand and hopefully, people will enjoy the show.”

He’s a fan of the process and being able to commit to a long-term project like NCIS. The brand already sold itself to him and everyone else, so the risk was not as great when it comes to this kind of commitment. Now,it all paid off for LL Cool J as the show is a hit and he is still going strong.
