There won’t be a new NCIS: Los Angeles for two weeks, but fans do have a lot to look forward to when the new episodes continue this season.

January 24 is the big date for viewers. When Marty Deeks and the rest of the team return to your screens for all-new episodes, things are going to be potentially deadly. A double-header with episodes 9 and 10 airing in a single night. There is a lot to expect from the two-episode event.

Of course, the folks at NCIS: Los Angeles want fans as rabid as possible for a new episode. So, they released a promo trailer to give fans a little something to look forward to. There is a lot in the very quick and short video. Check it out below and see for yourself.

Sam and Callen look like they are going to be exchanging fire with a suspect. The first episode that will air on January 24 is Under the Influence. “The NCIS team helps a U.S. ambassador search for her missing daughter, Gia, a popular social media influencer,” the synopsis explains. A kidnapped child of a government official? Nothing that the team can’t handle.

However, it looks like things are going to get serious. It’s never good seeing a suspect firing upon the NCIS: Los Angeles team. In these 11-seconds we also saw Killbride in the control room. He is still keeping things going from the office. And, Kensi is at a Crossfit competition?

If you are quick enough to catch it at the very end of the short video, there is a screenshot of a black box being loaded into a crate. Was it even meant to be part of the video? Two weeks and we might get some answers to these questions and more.

‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ ‘Where Loyalties Lie’

Of course, there is a part two to the big night on the 24th. After the situation with the ambassador is settled, fans can keep tuning in to CBS and catch Where Loyalties Lie. The 10th chapter of this season, and the team will be working to recover some military technology.

Here’s the synopsis: “When a civilian scientist working with the marines is killed, and her advanced radar technology stolen, the NCIS team must scramble to find the missing technology and the culprit.”

Now that I think of it, was that short glimpse of the black box in the crate this radar technology? Who is the one purchasing the stolen tech and why did they have to murder a scientist to get their hands on it? The NCIS: Los Angeles team is going to be working hard to make sure the technology doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
