‘NCIS’ Alum Pauley Perrette Shares Emotional Tribute To Late Friend Terri King

by Maria Hartfield

Former actress Pauley Perrette, best known for her role as Abby Sciuto in the television series NCIS, shares a heartfelt message honoring fashion designer Terri King’s passing.

Terri King is an incredible designer who made a name for herself styling rock stars including Marilyn Manson and Ozzy Osbourne since 1984. King’s unusual style attracted a cult following from rock ‘n roll superstars and goth communities. She even rigged her clothes to compensate for an unexpected stage dive or two by hiding extra padding or stretchy material into the linings.

The late King worked with Pauley Perrette on several of her outfits during her time on NCIS. Perrette took to Twitter to share a sweet post remembering her friend and fashion icon.

“So sad to hear of the passing of our beloved @TheTerriKing,” she tweeted. “Designer to the Rock Stars (and me). Her beautiful, bright light is unmatched. She was here to spread kindness and good. These are my Grammy and Peoples Choice Awards dresses she made.”

Perrette’s post features a series of photos showing the former NCIS star in custom-made Terri King designs. One photo shows Perrette in a lime green dress with music notes on the front. Another reveals a long white dress with the statement ‘NO H8’ logo printed on the front. At the time, ‘NO H8’ represented an equal marriage an anti-homophobia campaign in the early days of 2010.

Pauley Perrette Fans React to Terri King’s passing

Several friends of Pauley Perrette were quick to react to King’s passing via Twitter.

One user recalled their own relationship with King and said, “I met you at her party on Melrose. She was a good friend and designed my wedding dress. Still in shock. Love the picture of the 2 of you. Glad you shared that.”

Another follower added, “I’m so sorry to hear about your friend’s passing! You must have been a really great friend to her.”

Perrette’s exit from NCIS

Following Pauley’s time starring as Abby Sciuto in NCIS, she announced in 2020 that she decided to retire from acting. Perrette starred on the show from 2003 to 2018. The actress revealed the reasoning behind her decision to leave the show was to experiment due to being free from any TV or modeling contract for the first time in four decades. Her intentions were to spend her retirement with her animals.

NCIS is currently airing its 19th season on CBS in the US. All seasons are coming to Disney+ in the UK this year.
