Yesterday we lost a dear legend in Betty White. Throughout social media and all over the internet, White’s friends, co-stars, and family members are mourning the loss. NCIS alum Pauley Perrette, for example, shared her heartfelt tribute for her role model on Twitter yesterday.
In the post, she told her fans that White has been her role model since the start of her career. It looks like a very touching moment that will last forever.
“Oh #BettyWhite I love you. Thank you for being such a good role model for me. Thank you for being a friend.”
Upon seeing the tweet, fans are flooding her comments with heartfelt responses such as, “Thought of you upon hearing this news,” Linda Andrews commented.
Following that post, @dd_umbach replied with excitement.
“I didn’t know she had her own show! Of course that was a bit before I existed! She was a woman who did the right thing even when it cost her, her show! Wow!”
How Pauley Perrette and Betty White First Met
First of all, everybody knows Betty White. You would have to live under a rock if you didn’t know of her. She is the definition of a legend.
One of her biggest fans, Pauley Perrette, former NCIS star, shared how she first met her in an interview.
The two icons didn’t meet in show business. They met outside of their work life, which is honestly a better place to meet someone.
“Where do I begin? I’ve known her for so long,” Perrette said. “The first time I met her was when she guest-starred on Suddenly Susan in the late 1990s. Everyone was so excited that she was on the show and I accidentally parked in her parking spot that day.”
After knowing someone for so long, it’s almost like you can’t live without them. And White’s sudden death was hard for so many people, especially Perrette.
