NCIS added two new regular actors with Gary Cole and Katrina Law following the exit of Mark Harmon and Emily Wickersham. Many fans find it hard to adjust to new characters. However, Law has pleasantly surprised fans with her role as Special Agent Jessica Knight. Here’s where you may have seen her before.

People know Law for playing Mira on the Starz series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as well as Spartacus Vegeance. She’s also known for her work on The CW’s Arrow as Nyssa al Ghul.

But the role she’s had that’s the closest to NCIS is on another CBS procedural series, Hawai’i Five-0. She played Quinn Liu.

According to Law’s IMDB page, the actress grew up in New Jersey and was crowned Miss Jersey Teen USA as a teenager.

Katrina Law Landed the Role of Jessica Knight Last Year

Katrina Law actually got cast as Jessica Knight for a couple of episodes at the end of season 18. She was cast with the potential to become a regular if the show got renewed for a 19th season. Thankfully for her, it did.

The writer’s haven’t shied away from making the newbies struggle with fitting in with the team. In an interview towards the beginning of season 19, the Jessica Knight actress talked about the new NCIS agent’s struggle to fit in with the pack.

“You’re going to see Jessica Knight come in and she’s going to struggle a little bit trying to figure out how to step in with the team because she is an experienced agent. She has had her own history outside of the team,” she said in an interview with The Talk. Knight is definitely opinionated and she’s been set apart from previous new agents that have come in in the past.

A lot of the reason Knight is so vocal and passionate is she genuinely wants to contribute. Knight wants to go above and beyond for the good of the team. But she definitely gets in some arguments along the way.

“Every now and then she butts heads. But I think in a really positive way because I think at the end of the day she really wants to contribute and fit in as much as she can. But she might struggle a little bit,” Law said.

Law Joined ‘NCIS’ with Gary Cole

Law also joined the series with another new guy, Gary Cole. His previous work on Office Space and The Good Wife makes him quite well known. His work on NCIS has been impressive to fans. Fans were quite hesitant to see anyone who wasn’t a pre-existing member of the team take Gibbs’ job but he’s been a surprise.

If you want to catch the next episode of NCIS, you can tune in on Monday night at 9/8 central on CBS. Following NCIS, an all new episode of NCIS: Hawai’i airs.
