A source told ET Online that Rizzo “is in the process of selling the home she shared with Bob Saget.” Saget purchased the house in Brentwood, CA, in 2003 for $2.9 million, per Famous Entertainment. Rizzo shared this home with Saget from the time they were married in 2018 to the time of his death on January 9, 2022.
“There were so many happy memories they shared together and with his family, but it is too hard for her to be there after his passing,” the source told ET Online about the house. “Kelly is staying in Los Angeles.”
Rizzo did not say where in Los Angeles she would move to, and whether she would live by herself or with others. But the travel blogger has posted several memories of the couple on her Instagram page. She acknowledges in these posts that remembering these moments with her husband has been painful but rewarding.
In her most recent post, Rizzo showed a fun video of her and Bob Saget traveling together in a car. The text in the video says, “Finally goin’ on vacation! Should’ve agreed on a destination first…” The video then cuts to Saget in scuba diving gear and Rizzo in skiing gear.
“From one year ago exactly. We had so much fun making these silly videos together,” Rizzo wrote in her caption on April 1. “They make me so happy and so sad at the same time to relive them… but even if it’s painful it still puts a smile on my face, and I know that’s what he would want. And I know you all loved seeing Bob and me have fun together so I’ll keep sharing these from time to time. Thank you all again for being so kind and of course, loving Bob so much.”
Legendary Comedians Bob Saget and Gilbert Gottfried Pass Within Months of Each Other
Apparently, Gilbert Gottfried and Bob Saget were close friends. Back in September, around the time fellow comedian Norm Macdonlad died at 61, Gottfried posted an old photo featuring him, Saget, Macdonald, and Jeff Ross.
“This photo was taken after I was a guest on Norm’s show. At dinner, the laughs just continued nonstop. He will be missed,” Gottfried wrote in the caption at the time.
Then, in February, a month after Bob Saget died, Gottfried thought back to that old photo again.
“I put that photo up a few times, it’s one of my favorite photos,” Gottfried said, per EW. “It was just so much fun.”
Gottfried revealed he spoke to Saget days before he died. When Jeff Ross broke the news to the comedian, he didn’t believe it at first. “I remember I got a call from Jeff Ross who said, ‘Oh sad news, Bob Saget died.’ And I swear, I thought, Oh this is going to be a funny, sick joke, and I said, ‘Oh, okay … ‘ And I was waiting for the punchline. And then he said, ‘No, seriously, he died.’ I still have a hard time grasping that,” Gottfried said.
Now, as of April 12, Gilbert Gottfried has passed as well, at the age of 67. He, Saget, and Macdonald will all be sorely missed.
