Listen, you can count on the “Pioneer Woman” for a lot of things. You can count on her to cheer from the sidelines of your football games, you can count on her to spread some holiday cheer (check out her new miniseries!), and you can count on her for the best dang peppermint fudge recipe you’ve ever seen.

When it comes to skiing, though, you can count Ree Drummond out. She wants nothing to do with it and she’ll tell you exactly why. Just turn your attention to her most recent Instagram post and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

‘Pioneer Woman’ Dissects the Pros and Cons of Skiing… Without Any Pros

It looks like Ree Drummond has made up her mind about this one, folks. So say what you want because the star’s not budging. Here’s the Instagram post she shared with her nearly 4 million followers.

Check it out:

“I don’t want to ski,” the caption starts off. “There’s too much renting involved. Schlepping, too.”

She then offers a logical breakdown of all the cons that come with the activity.

“I like my anterior cruciate ligaments just the way they are, which is not torn. Also, my hips are happier when they are not being taxed. Finally, ski boots are heavy and make me feel tired and sad. Don’t go to Colorado with Gen-Z’ers. They knoweth not about such matters.”

Drummond’s fans seem to have the same idea. One asks, “Why go through all of that work when you can look cute with a drink in the lodge?” to which Drummond replies, “Gosh, you get me.”

A Mother-Daughter Trip

Now the beauty of Vail, Colorado can be mesmerizing, but if you take a closer look at the “Pioneer Woman’s” Instagram post, you can see that she tagged two people. It turns out those two people are her eldest daughter Alex and Alex’s husband/Drummond’s new son-in-law, Mauricio Scott.

Judging by Alex’s snaps of their trip together, the family is having a jolly good time. She refers to Vail as their “happy place” and hilariously tries to get her mom to change her stance above in the caption. It reads, “comment if you think @thepioneerwoman should hit the slopes with us tomorrow”

Alex’s Instagram post is made up of a series of slides of their adventures together. One of these slides features the breakfast spread of your wildest dreams. We’re talking bacon, eggs, bagels, waffles, hash browns… the whole shebang.

Here’s to safe travels and warm wishes on the rest of their adventure.
