Survivor 41 just has an incredible, emotionally-charged episode last night. So who was voted out in episode ten?

The episode saw a fascinating turn of events where the relationships that people had built over the season really came to a head. And with one major power player falling, new ones have emerged in their place.

So which power player got the ax? None other than fan-favorite scheme queen Shan.

She got voted out thanks to none other than her closest ally, Ricard. Additionally, what sealed the deal was the interesting Plotting of Erica. Also, DeShawn’s decision to turn against his alliance in order to preserve his own game.

At the start of the episode, Erica says that she wants to get out Shan. Being a player with not much power in the game, this would be a very difficult thing to pull off. Shan has arguably the most influence in the game. With her alliance with DeShawn, Danny, and Liana at her disposal as well as her close friendship with Ricard.

But when DeShawn and Danny decide they want to get out Ricard, Liana is let in on the plan then immediately tells Shan, then Ricard wins immunity, dominoes fall. Then, Ricard makes the ultimate move: taking out Shan.

Here’s Who Emerged Victorious In Last Night’s ‘Survivor’ Episode

The stomach-dropping moment in last night’s episode is when Ricard said “Shan Needs to go.” And just like that, everything fell into place. Most of the people who would up voting out Shan liked her. They wanted her to stay for emotional reasons but knew she was a major threat to their game.

Erica came up with a plan to split the vote between Liana and Shan. Shan was under the impression that a different plan was underway, and, when it came time to play her idol, Shan felt safe enough not to play hers. This makes her the SECOND person this year to go home with an idol in her pocket.

Now, Erica and Ricard have both emerged as from this episode way stronger. Erica actually got some major voice and agency in this week’s decision-making, but the preview for the next episode shows that that may come to bite her.

Ricard without Shan will have to make new alliances elsewhere, and after the move he just made, he’ll be pretty difficult to trust. If he manages to skate by next week, however, he could be someone to watch out for in the long run.

To catch the next episode of Survivor, you can tune in on Wednesdays at 8/7 Central.
