Survivor contestant Naseer Muttalif may have been voted out last week, but he still adored being on the show. Muttalif came into the game as a player with incredible Survival skills. But unfortunately, everyone knew he had the idol and that put a target on his back.

In a Twitter Q&A, Naseer talked about how much he enjoyed his time on Survivor.

“I enjoyed and appreciated every single second I was out there and it was a great opportunity,” the Survivor contestant said.

His actions on Survivor back up his words. He was able to turn negative feelings into action. For instance, when he was hungry and his team was suffering, he’d go foraging for food and feed the tribe. He tried to keep a positive outlook throughout, and it could be a reason as to why he made it to jury.

Here’s How Naseer Got Voted off ‘Survivor’

In the last episode of Survivor, the tribe was split into two each half of the tribe had to vote someone out, and with two people winning immunity (one on each side) the decision was difficult. Naseer’s side was far less clear-cut. WIth Shan, Ricard, Heather, Erica, and Naseer, it was looking for a while like the choice would be Heather. Erica won immunity, and Heather made quite a scene during last week’s tribal.

Heather and Naseer even got in a dispute about Heather trying to get him out. While heather was a target for Shan and Naseer, Ricard argued that they had bigger fish to fry with Naseer eventually, Shan agreed. Naseer had an idol, so if he had any idea he was a target, he’d use it.

This lead the entire half of the tribe to essentially put on a show at tribal, convincing Naseer that it was a done deal and heather was going home. In reality, they were all going to vote for Naseer.

Naseer wasn’t the only person voted out of Survivor that night.

Earlier in the night, Evvie was sent packing. Evvie was on the side of the island with Danny, Deshawn, Liana, and Xander. Danny, DeShawn, and Liana all are working together, and Xander won immunity. It made the night pretty clear cut: Evvie was the obvious choice to go home.

What to Expect Next Week

Survivor‘s pool of castaways is continuing to narrow. With that said, it’s hard to tell whose in danger next week. Castaways would be smart to go with the people holding the idols as the pool continues to narrow. There’s Xander, who’s made some impressive moves but remains close to the bottom of the social pecking order.

There’s Shan, who had a pretty good grip on the game so far and a habit of getting things to go her way. But with fellow castaways catching on to this, it’s starting to rub people the wrong way. Shan could be a viable target next week, but she’s pretty well protected.

To catch the next episode of survivor, tune in Wednesday at 8 Eastern.
