‘S.W.A.T.’ Star Shemar Moore Reveals Breathtaking New Season 5 Photos of ‘Hondo’s Mexican Paradise’

S.W.A.T.’s season four finale left us with a lot of questions. And one of the most burning questions has to do with one of our favorite characters, Hondo.

As the season premiere nears, CBS and star Shemar Moore have been dropping a few hints about the officer’s fate. And today, Moore posted a series of photos on social media. Are the pictures another clue?

When season four of S.W.A.T. wrapped up last May, Hondo had been demoted. In the episode, he made some comments to the press about racism within LAPD. And those comments sparked major protests around Los Angeles. Because of that, Hondos bosses didn’t think he was fit to serve as the squad’s leader. He didn’t take that news well. And we won’t know if he chose to accept the demotion or walk away from his job until October 1st.

Earlier this month, we found out that Hondo has been in Mexico. And according to the show’s executive producer Shawn Ryan, Hondo needed to get away to heal from the drama in LA.

“He feels bruised and battered despite having done the right thing,” Ryan told TV Insider. “A lot of his swagger is gone. He’s soul searching about what to do with his life.”

We also found out that Hondo saved a young woman and her widowed mother from some land grabbers. And after an “epic” battle, he grew close with the women. Ryan also revealed that Hondo will still be living in Mexico when the show premieres in a two-part event. But he will reunite with his crew by the second half.

‘S.W.A.T.’ Star Shemar Moore Gives a Glimpse of Hondo’s Life in Mexico

Today, Shemar Moore posted some pictures on Instagram. And it looks like Hondo has gotten comfortable on the ranch.

“Welcome to Hondo’s Mexican Paradise … @swatcbscoming at ya in 9 days,” he wrote.

The nine photos show Hondo on a picturesque mountainside Mexican estate. The officer is looking handsome in some cowboy garb, and he found himself a horse. In a few of the snapshots, we can see that he’s spending time with a new lady. We’re assuming it is the young woman he saved. But her face is not visible in any of the photos.

During the finale, Hicks did tell Hondo that he could take some vacation time. So, his Mexican retreat may be just a getaway. But the photos seem to hold a bigger story. Thanks to Shawn Ryan, we know that Hondo will eventually make his way back to his team. But, it looks like the character built a life away from Los Angeles. So, there could be a huge plot twist in our future. In any case, we’ll find out soon.
