Outsiders! Did you hear the “SWAT” news?! That’s right, The action-filled drama is moving to Sunday nights. The real question is: when?
CBS announced the schedule for the 2021-2022 season, revealing that the show will move to Sunday nights at 10/9c. It will appear after the new show, “SEAL Team” with AJ Buckley. The change in time is almost here. Get ready “SWAT” fans!
Friday, December 10 marks the drama’s mid-season finale at it’s current time slot 8/7c. Then the next season will start on January 2, 2022 at 10/9c. Actor Jay Harrington, Deacon enlists Chris’ help on an off-duty mission. Here they must fight to survive the attack by a drug cartel searching for their wealthy VIP client.
There is a slight problem with the show airing on Sunday night, the one-off schedule in the beginning of the year. Football and award shows requires CBS to take off weeks from airing new episodes. On the bright side, this will give the audience time to catch up on any missed episodes. Once football and award shows are finished, there will be more episodes playing on Sunday nights.
Keep an eye out!
What is “SWAT” About?
“SWAT” follows a locally born and bred sergeant and his team of highly-trained professionals as they solve crimes in Los Angeles, California. This is one of the most unusual shows in history created by Shawn Ryan and Aaron Rahsaan Thomas.
It first aired in the mid-1970’s as an action drama about a special weapons and skillset team. The main characters of the show are Shemar Moore, Alex Russell and Lina Esco.
The theme song was a hit. It was produced by composer, Barry De Vorzon’s. He did not expect his theme song to become a top 10 hit on the radio. Dreams really do come true! You can relive this jam right here.
