Long-time fans of classic TV may recognize Eve Plumb from something other than The Brady Bunch.

Plumb turned middle-child angst into an art form on The Brady Bunch. But she said before he earned the role of Jan Brady, she was known for other on-air traits.

She talked about her type in an interview two years ago with the New York Post.

“I had already been working for four years when The Brady Bunch started,” Plumb said of the iconic series, which started in 1969. “I was a little girl in danger on Lassie and my dog ran away at Christmas on The Big Valley. (And) I fell down a well on The Virginian.

Notice a trend? “I was the little girl in peril — that was my stock in trade,” Plumb said. “I’d done a few pilots … but who knew this would happen? At any age a steady paycheck was welcomed.”

Plumb rocked that steady paycheck. More than a half-century later, she’s still known as Jan Brady. And with the show seemingly always on, somewhere, she’ll never be able to escape her character.

Most of the Siblings from The Brady Bunch Are Reuniting for Lifetime Movie

And speaking of Christmas, if you’re a Brady Bunch fan (and why wouldn’t you be) mark your calendars. Six of the cast members are featured in a holiday movie called People Presents: Blending Christmas. Lifetime announced the movie in late spring. It finally has a release date. Lifetime scheduled the movie for Dec. 12. The network, like Hallmark, knows Christmas and the holiday season is big business. That’s why Lifetime expanded its holiday movie slate to 35 for this season.

Barry Williams, who portrayed the oldest brother Greg, also shared the holiday news.

“I’ve got an early Christmas present for you: the ultimate reunion! Coming this winter, I’ll be joining the Its A Wonderful Lifetime lineup in Blending Christmas.”

The five actors from The Brady Bunch who are in the movie are Williams, Christopher Knight (Peter), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), Susan Olsen (Cindy) and Robbie Rist (cousin Oliver). Jennifer Elise Cox, who played the part of Jan in some of The Brady Bunch reunion movies, also is in the holiday movie. So, technically, she’s a sixth actor from the cast.

None of the Bradys play themselves. The movie stars Haylie Duff as a woman who used to spend the Christmas season at a resort with her family. But the resort is being redeveloped. Liam, her boyfriend (Aaron O’Connell) wants to bring her to the hotel for one final holiday. He plans to propose, so he invites his family and Emma’s. Check with Outsider for more details.
