‘The Chase’: Here’s How You Can Compete Against These ‘Jeopardy’ Legends

by John Jamison

Do you Outsiders have what it takes to match wits with some of the greatest trivia minds on the planet? Well, Season 3 casting calls for The Chase are currently underway, and you may be exactly what the hit ABC game show is seeking.

It won’t pay out quite like the legendary Jeopardy! runs the show’s “chasers” completed, but there is definitely big money potential. So what are you waiting for?

You can visit the official casting website for The Chase here. All it requires is some basic personal information, a statement declaring why you’d make a great rapid-fire trivia contestant, and a photo. Small prices to pay for the privilege of challenging Jeopardy! icons Ken Jennings, James Holzhauer, and Brad Rutter.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, ABC shared a promo video explaining what it takes back in January.

“Everyone wants to see the contestant get the money. In my heart, I kind of want to see them win. But there’s also a part of me that’s very competitive and is not going to let that happen,” said Jennings.

There you have it. The all-time greatest Jeopardy! competitor, maybe the best trivia mind ever, isn’t going to make it easy on you.

Who Knew ‘The Chase’ Star Ken Jennings Had This Trash Talk in Him?

Ken Jennings comes off as a relatively humble guy, especially given all that he’s accomplished. But trivia is what the man does. And he’s not shy about letting The Chase contestants know where they stand.

“Since you want to study the brain, here’s a chance to study one of the greats… mine,” Jennings told a contestant back in August. So the Jeopardy! champion wasn’t exactly trash talking, but he was undoubtedly laying down the gauntlet. And we don’t know about you, but the way he’s touching his fingertips together is extremely intimidating. At least it is when he’s getting ready to throw down in a fast-paced test of knowledge.

Ken Jennings is Much Tougher on His Fellow Chasers

At the end of the day, Ken Jennings wants to see you win. He talks a big game, and he will definitely not roll over, but he saves most of his trash talk for his fellow TV personalities. Namely, fellow Jeopardy! legend James Holzhauer.

Look no further than his June tweet roasting his fellow The Chase personality.

In all fairness, James “The High Roller” Holzhauer has the trivia and gambling skills to back up his look. But yeah, maybe the glasses weren’t the best idea.
