The Voice’s newest coach, Ariana Grande has been on quite a journey through the show’s most recent season. Grande shared words of encouragement with her team ahead of the season finale. Warning, spoilers ahead for the December 7 episode of The Voice Season 21.
Ariana Grande hasn’t had an easy start as the series latest coach. Grande struggled to follow the show’s rules about contacting her team as well as not being able to eliminate contestants. Team Ariana took another blow when the Semifinals results were revealed to not be in their favor. However, the young coach had an important message to share with her team with whom she formed such close ties.
The Top 8 competitors performed Monday with only 5 moving to the season finale airing on December 13. America’s vote revealed two members of Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson’s teams and one from John Legend’s team remain.
Team Grande Eliminated from ‘The Voice’
Father and son duo Jim and Sasha Allen from Ariana’s team were among those eliminated. The results leave Grande with no one to represent her team in next week’s season finale. In the face of defeat, Ariana Grande shared an uplifting message via Twitter for her team encouraging them to hold their heads high.
“I AM BURSTING with pride for Jim and Sasha and all of everyone from #teamariana….,” she began. “To have met & worked with such brilliant artists is the greatest gift and honor of all of this. I can’t believe there wasn’t a time I didn’t know you all. it’s truly just the beginning for all of these brilliant humans. I’ll be here always. thank you for enriching my life in ways I can’t even attempt to articulate. your presence and this whole experience have brought so much joy and fulfillment creatively and personally. tonight we celebrate !!! you and your brilliance and hard work. not one moment of this has been easy on any of you mentally, physically, vocally. here’s to a gorgeous new chapter for you all. thank you for changing my life for the better. #teamariana4lifeandwhatevercomesafter”
Grande Forms an Incredible Bond with Her Team
There’s no question Ariana formed quite an attachment with the members of her team. Coach Blake Shelton often teased Grande that being eliminated didn’t mean competitors were sent to the alligator pit.
Grande was a continuous advocate for her team’s vocal health. She gifted her contestants with different teas and lozenges.
With such a tight-knit bond, Ariana may decide to continue working with her artists after their journey on The Voice much as Blake Shelton has in the past.
Artists Wendy Moten and Paris Winningham from Team Shelton will advance to the finale. Additionally, Kelly Clarkson’s Hailey Mia and Girl Named Tom as well as John Legend’s Jershika Maple will appear on next week’s The Voice finale.
