Country artist Walker Hayes is performing on the Season 21 live finale of “The Voice.” It airs tomorrow, December 14th on NBC.
Here at Outsider, we have been covering Season 21 of “The Voice” since the start. Now that the competition is coming to an end, we have the big two-night finale episodes to look forward to. There are always great performances to see before the results are announced. Walker Hayes is one of these artists set to grace “The Voice” stage.
The country artist announced the news to his fans on Twitter. Fans are excited to see another singer represent the country music world on the show. “The Voice” judge Blake Shelton just recently performed on the show, as well as Carly Pearce. Showing even more love to the genre, Hayes is bringing a slice of Nashville to the Los Angeles.
Walker Hayes has had a big year. His 2021 single “Fancy Like” blew up on TikTok, landing him the Number 1 position on both the Billboard “US Hot Country Songs” and “US Country Airplay” charts. Now, the single is double platinum. The song even landed a spot in an Applebee’s commercial, as well as a remix featuring pop sensation Kesha. Hayes talks about the song’s simple meaning.
“I just wrote about my family,” Hayes shares with CMT. “There’s no pretentiousness there. It’s just who we are. When you get to be that honest and the public reacts, it’s a real magical thing. And the dances, that’s just me being a dad. I mean, that’s just how we roll around here.”
