The final 10 contestants on “The Voice” gave it all during the live show on Monday night. Now, these contestants will face elimination again as the talented artists slowly dwindle based on the votes coming from viewers at home.

One of these contestants is Hailey Mia over on Team Kelly Clarkson. She showed up to “Challenge Week” ready to put on a performance outside of her comfort zone. The goal was to have all the remaining contestants sing a song that is outside of their genre.

For Hailey Mia, she decided to sing Kelsea Ballerini’s popular country tune, “Peter Pan.” Ballerini gets her fair amount of love over on “The Voice.” In fact, she even performed her song “Half of My Hometown” in May of this year on the show.

Mia is one of four singers that decided to take a country road on this episode of “The Voice.” She is also currently the youngest singer. Although it’s a bit out of her normal comfort zone, the song ended up being a good choice. Clarkson even said her performance was “flawless.”

Clarkson also brought up Mia’s age and her natural talent and diversity on the stage. “It all is very important. But it’s one of those things that are incredible. I wasn’t worried at all for you this week because, I think, with you being 14 is you love all these different genres, and you’re not afraid to conquer anything because you’re still developing all of the things you love to listen to,” Clarkson said.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande also had kind words to say as well. “The thing to me that is the most phenomenal about your entire experience on this show is your growth and your trust in yourself. When you first started, I felt like you had a lot of doubt and a lot of nerves. I felt like you questioned your own abilities a lot, and I don’t see a trace of that anymore. You’ve come into your own in such a gorgeous way. I’m so proud of you. You are phenomenal,” Grande told her after the performance.

The 14-year-old singer is considered more of a pop vocalist, but also has certain aspects of a rock-like edge in her voice. The powerful belt on a high note near the end of her performance is enough proof of that.

So far, Mia has performed songs like Christina Perri’s “Jar of Hearts,” Sia’s “Elastic Heart,” The Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand By You,” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “traitor.”

You may also recall listening to another Kelsea Ballerini cover this season of “The Voice.” Lana Scott from Team Blake stunned the coaches with her cover of “Hole in the Bottle” during the Blind Auditions.

The contestants who make it through tonight will be going into the semi-finals round.
