Before contestants on “The Voice” can even think about the live performance segment of the show with fans voting at home, they need to get through a series of different rounds.
First, they needed to capture at least one judge’s attention as they are turned around for the Blind Auditions. Then, each person is paired up with one of their fellow teammates. The two must perform against each other to try to earn a spot on the team.
Sneak Peek of Tonight’s ‘The Voice’ Battle Rounds
This is the Battle Rounds. These tend to be full of intensity as the two contestants fuel each other to give it all they have or to get sent out the door. “The Voice” Instagram account just shared a video sneak peek of some of the Battle Rounds coming on Monday.
“OOOOH, these #TheVoice Battles pairs are going to make for some amazing performances. Who are you most excited to see on Monday?” the post states.
Some of the performers include Joshua Vacanti and Keilah Grace over on Team John Legend, which will be performing the hit pop song from Olivia Rodrigo “good 4 u.”
Then on Team Blake Shelton, Clint Sherman and Carson Peters will be singing “Don’t Let Your Love Song Start Slippin’ Away” by Vince Gill. On Team Kelly Clarkson Aaron Hines and Gymani will go face-to-face for the Battle Rounds. They will be performing “working” by Tate McRae and Khalid.
Then over on Team Ariana Grande Jim and Sasha Allen will perform against Sophia Bromberg. They will be singing “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” by Stevie Wonder. These are just a few of the amazing pairings that we’ll see on Monday.
“The Voice” airs on NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET. One thing you can look forward to is two performers singing the popular Coldplay song “Yellow,” which Blake Shelton thinks is a love song about corn.
More Than Just a Battle?
On “The Voice” we also get to watch as the advisors for each coach show up to help out the team.
For example, John Legend has Camila Cabello as his advisor. As of right now, all the contestants are thinking about progressing on the show. For Cabello, however, such lively duets reminded her of something personal.
She shared the story of her first duet alongside Shawn Mendes, who is now her boyfriend. The two performed the duet “I Know What You Did Last Summer” together. She said, “Yeah, I walked away with more than a song, if you know what I mean.”
Maybe we could witness the start of a “The Voice” love story this season. It’s happened before, after all.
