Tim McGraw, who is getting ready for the premiere episode of 1883, has been busy as a father watching his daughters grow up.

What’s that been like for McGraw, a country music superstar?

Well, Outsiders, he talked about it in an interview with CBS This Morning.

“It’s been incredible to watch them grow up and become the young women that they’ve become,” McGraw said. “They’re really strong-willed, confident young women. We have a 24-year-old, a 23-year-old, and a 20-year-old, so no teenagers. So it’s pretty interesting to be in that world now as parents.

“But we’re just so proud of them,” Tim McGraw says. “Because they’re just great young women, and they’re confident, and they’re sweet. Very caring about other people and, you know, what better can you ask for from your daughters.”

McGraw and his wife Faith Hill, who also stars in 1883, have Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey as their kids.

Oh, if you are wondering when 1883 will make its premiere, then your wait is almost over, Outsiders. The Yellowstone prequel debuts on Sunday, Dec. 19, on Paramount+. It traces the journey that the Duttons took to get to the west. Besides Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Sam Elliott, Isabel May, Billy Bob Thornton, and LaMonica Garrett also star in the Taylor Sheridan drama.

Tim McGraw Reflects A LIttle More About Becoming Empty Nesters With Hill

Watching his daughters leave home for their own lives has Tim McGraw dealing with becoming empty nesters along with Faith Hill.

Well, the country music superstar talks about it with People.

Tim McGraw reflects on Audrey leaving home. Their daughter graduated from high school in 2020. But she is not pursuing a career in either acting or modeling.

“You’re used to getting up in the morning,” McGraw says. “Taking kids to school, going to softball practices and basketball practices and cheerleader practices and all of a sudden all that’s gone when your last one leaves.”

Both McGraw and Hill are on the cover of People Magazine this month.

Their home in Nashville has become much quieter. But Tim McGraw was reminiscing on afternoons at their home. Kids would be coming home from school, and there would be some good cooking going on with Hill staying busy in there.

“I miss the afternoons because Faith would always make sure something was cooking when they would come home from school,” Tim McGraw said. “I miss them coming in and smelling what mom’s cooking and being excited about having dinner. …There were times when we had 15 teenage girls in our house talking about boys and life and everything going on.”

McGraw and Hill have been busy with 1883 and their music careers. McGraw is going out on tour in 2022.
