Valerie Bertinelli Signs New Deal with Food Network, Will Bring New Projects

Valerie Bertinelli fans can expect to see a whole lot more of the actress as she cooks up another deal with the Discovery-owned Food Network.

Valerie Bertinelli has charmed audiences for decades as a beloved award-winning actress and bestselling author.

Then, Bertinelli expanded her resume to include “Food Network star.”

This happened a few years ago as she took on the hosting duties for the hit series, Valerie’s Home Cooking.

And, recently, the network announced that Bertinelli will be taking on more projects. Noting that the actress will be expanding her role on the popular cooking channel.

“Valerie Bertinelli has won Food Network audiences with her approachable warm personality and unique charisma,” says Courtney White, President, Food Network and Streaming Food Content, Discovery.

“Her passion for food comes through in everything she does,” White continues. “From sharing her favorite recipes in the kitchen to mentoring the next generation of young bakers.”

Valerie Bertinelli Is Enjoying Her Newest Role

This announcement comes as the star prepares for the January release of her latest book Enough Already: Learning to Love the Way I Am Today.

“Throughout my life food has always been a central part of some of my happiest memories,” the longtime actress said in a recent statement.

“Becoming a part of the Food Network family has continued to be a rewarding dream come true,” Bertinelli continues. “I look forward to continuing to share my passion and joy with audiences with the programs they have come to love as well as in new and exciting ways.”

In the Food Network series Valerie’s Home Cooking, Bertinelli shares her passion for cooking while preparing delicious meals. The actress has won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Culinary Program and Outstanding Culinary since the show premiered in 2015.

Bertinelli also stars alongside Duff Goldman in the popular children’s baking show Kids Baking Championship.

Valerie Bertinelli first found fame when she took a role portraying Barbara in the long-running popular CBS sitcom series, One Day at a Time.

After leaving One Day at a Time, Bertinelli took on a variety of roles in various films and guest-starring roles.

Then, in 2010, the longtime actress returned to the sitcom genre. Joining the iconic Betty White in TvLand’s breakout series Hot In Cleveland along with Jane Leeves and Wendy Malick.

The longtime actress, author, and chef received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.
