It’s no secret that Vin Diesel’s Fast & Furious and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises received a lot of praise from fans. Resurrecting the Chronicles of Riddick franchise only sweetness the pot for die-hard Diesel fans. The third and final installment of the series titled Riddick was released in theaters back in 2013. Since then, moviegoers have been begging for the series return. And they’re not the only ones. Vin Diesel himself recently broke his silence on the film’s possible return. The Avatar 2 star posted the following inquisitive throwback photo with a curious caption attached.

Vin Diesel has always had a knack for giving his fans what they want. It’s no secret Diesel loves himself a sequel. He strategically took to social media to post a slew of cryptic messages alluding to the next Riddick installment. One such message was revealed on the YouTube channel Marvelous Videos in which he directed his fans to tune in for a quick catch-up.

Bringing Back Richard Riddick

It’s easy to hear the actor’s enthusiasm about the possibility of bringing Richard Riddick back to the big screen. He even went so far as to thank Universal Pictures for “believing” in the film series. Diesel’s passion and excitement for the return of the franchise is contagious. In speaking about the sequel he seemed overjoyed by the latest progress on the film hinting to fans it may be closer than they think.

Riddick 4 will follow Pitch Black which came out in 2000, The Chronicles of Riddick, and Riddick. The series wasn’t without its downfalls. The first film took an overall financial hit but successfully gained enough attention to justify a sequel.

It’s true, people have been talking about a follow-up to the Riddick chronicles for years. But this time, fans may actually get what they want.

In the meantime, rewatch the series with Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick on Peacock, and Riddick on Amazon Prime Video.
