‘CSI: Vegas’ Brings Two OG Cast Members From Original Show Back In New Series
Oh, but you want to know if OG “CSI” cast members are a part of this show. We’ve got you covered, Outsiders.
William Petersen and Jorja Fox return in their roles as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle, respectively. Wallace Langham reprises his role as Hodges. For a short period of time, Paul Guilfoyle will appear as Las Vegas Police Department Captain Jim Brass.
Here’s another reach back to old-school times. “CSI: Vegas” debuts on Oct. 6 on, where else, CBS at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central. That’s the same date that “CSI” first appeared on CBS 21 years earlier.
Show Creator Says Having Marg Helgenberger Return Is A Possibility
With the return of these actors from the original series, some Outsiders might wonder if another one shows up. Marg Helgenberger, who played Catherine Willows, was on “CSI” from 2000-13. Show creator Anthony Zuiker addressed that in the “EW” article.
“If we’re able in the second season to allocate the budget for her to return, that’s a place we’d go immediately,” he said. Fingers crossed, Outsiders!
Zuiker also talked about prepping “CSI: Vegas” scripts before the cast was set. Apparently, he was waiting for a star to join up before writing anything.
“We didn’t write anything until the deals were done,” Zuiker told EW. “It all hinged on Billy (William Petersen) coming back.”
Debut Episode Puts Roby, Grissom Right To Work While Trying To Clear CSI Workers’ Names
Well, they certainly managed to put Roby and Grissom to work immediately. No time to mess around in the “CSI: Vegas” world, you know.
They find themselves in a real jam, working to clear the names of the current “CSI: Vegas” team. Yet, Roby and Grissom have to also backtrack through two decades of history and work that stuff out.
A quick view from the show’s debut episode lets us all know that “Justice is coming!” for the CSI team. CBS dropped this video back in September.
