Doesn’t Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak know not to get in the way of a player? Outsiders, Sajak may have cost a player a chance to win.
Let’s get down to the matter at hand. Former ‘NSYNC singer Joey Fatone was a contestant on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on ABC on Sunday night. A Yahoo! Entertainment article states that Sajak called an answer Fatone gave as wrong.
Fatone answered the night’s second puzzle. His answer was “Stretch Mark Mark Wahlberg,” but the answer was “Stretch Mark Wahlberg.”
No win for Joey, folks. Viewers, though, called out Sajak for making Fatone say Mark twice in his answer.
‘Wheel of Fortune’ Host Gives Example But Fatone’s Answer Did Not Score Victory
“‘Before & After’ is the category,” Sajak said to Fatone and the two other contestants on Sunday night. “That’s one of those where you mash two things together like we would say — ‘It’d be Wanya Morris and Morris the Cat.’ Then we’d put them together. Just an example.”
See, that’s where Fatone’s answer could easily have fit into the celebrity Wheel of Fortune game. The other two contestants on Sunday night’s game were Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris from Boyz II Men.
Fans went to Twitter and asked the game show to give more cash to Fatone’s charity, the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center at the University of Kentucky.
Overall, Fatone didn’t do too well in the game.
If you want to catch Celebrity Wheel of Fortune with Sajak and, of course, Vanna White, then tune in to ABC on Sunday nights.
Sajak Has Some Warm Words For Longtime Co-host Vanna White, Calls Her A ‘Princess’
Need some warm fuzzies if you wake up cold one morning? This little back-and-forth with Sajak and longtime Wheel of Fortune co-host Vanna White might do the trick.
After both were introduced to the studio audience, Sajak took a quick minute. He offered White a wonderful sentiment.
“I come out here with a princess every night,” he said in a clip put on Instagram. “What an exciting life I have. Go to your throne. I’ll see you later.”
Fans ate that up. One fan on Instagram said, “And Vanna comes out with a prince!”
Aw, such warm feelings going on here.
These two are not leaving the world of television soon. Both Sajak and White have been signed through 2024.
Would you believe, Outsiders, that they have been on TV for more than four decades? Holy smokes, that’s a long time.
But Pat and Vanna will be playing Wheel of Fortune a little bit longer. The show was created after entrepreneur-entertainer Merv Griffin took the old game “Hangman” and made a tweak or two in it.
