Maggie Sajak has wished her father, Pat Sajak, a happy anniversary on Twitter. The game show host is celebrating his 40th anniversary with Wheel of Fortune.

“Happy 40th Wheel-iversary to this guy! On this day in 1981, @patsajak hosted his very first episode of @WheelofFortune…and the rest is history!” Maggie wrote. In her tweet to her dad, she included a low-quality picture of Sajak during his first-ever episode. Check out this picture of Sajak back in the day:

It’s hard to believe the legacy that Sajak has created for himself. He’s been a staple in the households of millions of families. Families have bonded together while trying to figure out the show’s thousands of puzzles. Hopefully, the Wheel of Fortune legacy will continue for years to come. At the very least, we’ll be seeing Sajak on the screen until 2024. He and Vanna White just renewed their contracts earlier this year.

This is just one anniversary in a week of anniversaries and celebrations for Sajak. He started off celebrating Christmas, of course. Today (12/28) is his 40th anniversary with Wheel of Fortune. In a couple of days, on December 31st, it’ll be his 32nd wedding anniversary. He’ll be finishing the year out strong before going on to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

He mentioned all of his anniversaries in a funny tweet, as is typical of the Wheel of Fortune host. “What a week! Dec 25…Christmas Day. Dec 28…40th anniversary of my first ‘Wheel’ on NBC daytime. Dec 31…32nd wedding anniversary. Jan 1…2022 begins. And it almost has to be better than 2021, doesn’t it? Well, doesn’t it?” Sajak shared on Christmas Eve. We can only hope so! Another few years of Wheel of Fortune means that we’re off to a good start, at least.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ Guest Was Also on Season 41 of ‘Survivor’

Most people know Heather Aldret for her recent stint on Survivor 41, but before that she was a guest on the popular game show. This was over 10 years ago, though, so any fans of hers would probably not remember if they saw her solving puzzles. Well, since she revisited TV a decade later to star on Survivor 41, she must have a penchant for it. She scored fourth place on this last season of Survivor. While she was on Wheel of Fortune, she took home a third-place win.

The Survivor contestant has obviously changed over the years, especially hobby-wise. Since her stint on Wheel of Fortune, she’s picked up hobbies like exploring, painting, and pickleball. Maybe after surviving on an island for a month, she’s finally got puzzle-solving out of her system. Who knows, maybe she’ll try for first place someday. With more seasons of the show to come, there’s no telling who we’ll see spin the wheel.
