FOX’s hit 9-1-1 franchise is holding super strong ratings, with both the titular show and its Lone Star spinoff nearly matching NBC’s The Voice ratings.

9-1-1 and FOX are closing in on NBC’s primetime crown. As of the franchise’s dual airings on May 24, the network’s ratings are the highest of any drama on cable television.

Main line 9-1-1 holds a fantastic 6 million Monday viewers this past week. In addition, an equally impressive 1.0 demo rating shows strong commitment from FOX’s intended audience. Following behind, spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star holds second place to 9-1-1‘s first with 5 million viewers and a 0.8 demo.

This means the franchise as a whole has a lead on all competing Monday night dramas. ABC’s The Good Doctor trails at 3.9 million, with the CW’s All American all the way down at 715k.

9-1-1 also has the edge on Sunday night’s proceedings. TV Line‘s “delayed” Sunday ratings show “The Equalizer (6.7 mil/0.7), NCIS: LA (5.9 mil/0.6) and NOLA‘s series finale (5 mil/0.5)” all “steady,” but trailing behind the FOX franchise, as well.

It’s good news all around for the network, as both 9-1-1 properties have been renewed for another season. 9-1-1‘s Season 5 teaser has already debuted, which you can view below. A Season 3 for Lone Star is also confirmed.

9-1-1 returns for another epic season this Fall on FOX.

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 3 to Feature Beloved Actor Promotion

More good news for the fans! 9-1-1: Lone Star is promoting from within. Paramedic Nancy’s Brianna Baker has been promoted from a recurring role to series regular ahead of Season 3!

“We’re going to learn more about her,” showrunner Tim Minear tells TV Line of Baker’s promotion. “It’s funny, the story that we gave her this year of feeling like she wasn’t at the cool kids’ table, was sort of me and [executive producer Rashad Raisani] writing about how she was kind of treated on the show until we realized how incredibly cool she is,” he continues.

With praise like this, it’s no wonder Baker is moving on up the roster! As she does, she joins current series regulars Rob Lowe as Owen, Sierra McClain as Grace, and Ronen Rubinstein as T.K. Rounding out the leads are Jim Parrack as Judd, Natacha Karam as Marjan, Rafael Silva as Carlos, Julian Works as Mateo, Gina Torres as Tommy, and Brian Michael Smith as Paul.

As for  9-1-1: Lone Star‘s Season 3, however, we’ve yet to hear an official release date. We do know the show is being held up until January 2022 at the earliest. Then, when football wraps in March, 9-1-1 viewers will have their back-to-back shows… back!

And as FOX teased themselves during their 2021 Upfront presentation, fans will want to “keep an eye out for a crossover in the back half of the [TV] season.”

For now, you can check out the 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 3 teaser below:
