9-1-1 is taking another break, and fans aren’t too happy about it. The show premiered earlier this fall but has gone on a string of different hiatuses. Now, it’s taking another break.

The show announced it was taking a break on Twitter, and fans were bummed.

“No #Bathena tonight ladies and gents!” the show announced. “See you next MONDAY.”

“You’ll be hearing from my lawyers,” one fan joked.

People have been really looking forward to 9-1-1 this season. The episodes are good, the plot keeps thickening. There’s a lot going on.

“All these 2-week breaks are killing me. Hope this doesn’t happen once Lonestar comes on,” one fan wrote. “Even if we get a week with just one 9-1-1 show on while the other gets a 2-week break.”

Shows frequently go on hiatus during the year that they air, but this year there do seem to be a lot of breaks. Thankfully, shows are back to doing full seasons now, but this week has seen a lot of shows decide to take a break.

Often, these shows will go on Hiatus without much explanation, leaving fans a bit confused.

“Ahhhhh why?” one fan wrote, “literally my heart is aching.”

Others are bummed they aren’t getting more “Bathena” content.

“Will miss them, love them,” one person tweeted.

What to Expect from the Next Episode of ‘9-1-1’

The next episode of 9-1-1 airs on Monday. Here’s what to expect when the show returns. The episode is called Past Is Prologue, and will see the characters face both professional dangers and personal strife when an abandoned oil well explodes in a busy LA street.

Meanwhile, Athena works on a cold case – a casino robbery that occurred 30 years ago. The episode should be packed full of action and follows the departure of actor Rockmund Dunbar. His character, Michael, decided to go abroad to be with his now fiance David.

Fans were sad to see them go, but there are still plenty of characters left on the hit series. And while the scenarios they face can often seem a bit outlandish, they always try to stay true to the courage that first responders have. This realistic aspect has led some characters to die on the job, but hopefully, everyone will stay safe after the episode next week.

If you’re a fan of 9-1-1, its spinoff show, 9-1-1: Lone Star, premieres on January 3rd. The show follows a group of first responders living in Austin, Texas, and stars Rob Lowe. If you’re into 9-1-1, you’ll also probably like Lone Star.

While it’s a bummer there was no episode this week, hopefully, next week’s episode will make up for it in quality.
