‘Alaskan Bush People’: Bear Brown Posts ‘Old Picture’ of Late Father Billy and Brother Gabe

by Halle Ames

Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown got nostalgic on social media as he shared a sweet message and photo of his late father.

This morning, Bear Brown posted an old photo he found of himself, his brother Gabe, and their late father Billy Brown on Instagram.

The 33-year-old star of Alaskan Bush People grieves his father, Billy Brown’s passing. He died in early February from a seizure while at home with his large family. Billy was only 68 years old.

Bear Brown accompanies the photo with a heartwarming message highlighting his admiration for this father. He also shares the fond memory associated with the night of the picture.

“Da passed away over a month ago, and it still feels like yesterday!” says Bear. “I miss him so much! I found this old picture and wanted to post it, I can honestly say my Dad never let me down. Not once! I love and miss him! On this day, we had just hooked up a telescope! And we were looking at the moon!!! It was a very good day!”

More Tributes From Bear Brown

Gabe is the fourth child out of seven in the Brown family. Bear is the third.

Tributes for the family patriarch have been rolling in from Bear Brown and most of Billy’s other children.

A few days ago, Bear shared a photo of the new cross necklace he bought with a sentimental engraving. In white lettering across the middle of the cross, the words “My Dad My Hero My Angel” are written.

No caption is included with the post. None was needed, as the beautiful small pendant says it all.

Furthermore, fans of the show and his 232,000 followers have continuously supported the grieving Bear Brown and the rest of the family through these challenging times.

In early March, Bear Brown posted another throwback photo of Billy. The image portrays Billy giving a thumbs up while sitting in a small airplane. Again, Bear posted a touching message for his father.

“Rest In Peace Da, I love you more than words could ever say, I will miss you always, and I look forward to seeing you in heaven when God calls me home! You taught me everything! You taught me how to live! I love you, Da, I love you more!”

Gabe, however, hasn’t posted a photo on Instagram since May of 2020.
