Matt Brown is sharing some positive vibes on Instagram. The Alaskan Bush People star posted a smiling photo and sending love to his fans.
Billy Brown, star of Alaskan Bush People, died unexpectedly in February after suffering a seizure. His children have remained active on social media since his death. Often sharing fond memories of their father or to thank fans for their support.
Matt Brown recently shared a video where he celebrated a year sober. He said he’s been in recovery for three years but “slipped” three times. The last being March 20, 2020, he said in the video. Considering the stress of this year, it’s commendable that he has remained sober while dealing with all that has happened to his family.
He’s continued to post messages of positivity.
Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown has also stayed active on social media since his father’s death. Unfortunately, his posts have had a much more somber and elegiac tone. Brown has struggled with his grief and mourned the death of his father.
Bear recently shared a photo expressing his love of the outdoors, a love Billy passed down to his children. The Brown clan loves the mountains and forests that they call their home, finding solace in the quiet of nature.
‘Alaskan Bush People’ Plans to Return Next Season
Bear Brown has removed any suspense about the future of Alaskan Bush People. He says the show will continue as an honor to his father, who was its main star. The show had already filmed the next season before Billy’s death, and he hopes to continue after that. But the long-term future of any show is always in flux.
The show plans to air a tribute episode to Billy Brown where each of his children shared memories of their father and the things he taught them. For instance, Bear Brown recalled life lessons he shared while they sat in a hunting blind.
“One of my favorite things to do with dad when we’d go out and we’d hunt together was just sitting there in a blind and waiting or stalking through the woods,” Bear said of the Alaskan Bush People star. “I will always remember that about my dad and I will greatly miss the times we had and the times we won’t have again. But it will always be in my heart and I will always cherish those memories.”
