‘Alaskan Bush People’: Rain Brown Hopped into the Driver Seat to Help Her Family

by Quentin Blount

If you are a fan of the Discovery Channel show Alaskan Bush People, then there is no question that you will love this throwback clip from over five years ago.

Now we know that the newest season of Alaskan Bush People is finally here and fans are excited. The fan-favorite show returned for its 13th season just a couple of weeks ago. But while we wait for the newest episode of the show to hit our television screens, we pulled up an old clip from 2016 that we think you’ll appreciate.

As you probably know, the youngest of the Brown siblings — Rain Brown — recently turned 18 years old. That in itself is hard to believe, especially considering that as fans of the show, we have basically watched her and her siblings grow up right in front of us. And there is no denying that they have come a long way. As a matter of fact, we just learned that Rain, Bear, and Bird Brown will all be taking a trip back home to Alaska.

But we know that she will be up for the challenge. She’s always been up for the challenge. That was more than evident in a 2016 episode of Alaskan Bush People when she decided to take on more responsibility in the family business. The clip shows the Browns as they are trying to load a 2,000-pound car onto a homemade barge. And it’s Rain Brown — 13 years old at the time — who is in the driver’s seat.

“I’m not that bad of a driver,” Rain can be heard saying in the video. Meanwhile, the narrator explains that if she were to make a mistake it would cause the entire plan to fail.

“Rain is coming into her own right now,” Matt Brown says. “She has never been tested like this. This is a very real thing and I think that she’s realizing that.”
