‘Alaskan Bush People’ Star Bear Brown Posts Moving Photo of His Mom With Late Father Billy: ‘Truest of True Love’

by Amy Myers

Lately, Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown has shown his appreciation for the loving relationships that surround him in his home life–both past and present. From photos with his girlfriend and his son to shots of his parents, Brown continuously demonstrates just how thankful he is for his family.

In his latest Instagram photo, Brown paid homage to his father and mother’s relationship. The picture featured his mother, Ami Brown, seated on his dad’s lap. Ami had on a black, brimmed hat and pink cardigan. She wrapped her arms around her husband, who gave a thumbs up to the camera. In his caption, the Alaskan Bush People star explained that during his mother’s battle against cancer, his father, Billy Brown, stayed by her side the entire time. Clearly, this is the type of marriage that the Alaskan Bush People star hopes to have for himself one day.

“This picture was taken when my mom was battling cancer in LA, Da was with her every moment! The truest of true love,” Brown wrote.

Unfortunately, we can’t show the photo, since Brown’s account is private. However, you can follow Bear Brown on Instagram here to keep up with future Alaskan Bush People family updates.

‘Alaskan Bush People’ Star Honors His Parents’ Loving Marriage

Some of this newfound gratitude could come from watching his own son grow up so quickly. Little River Anthony Brown is already 17 months old and is growing like a weed. Brown and River’s mother, Raiven Adams, have already taken their son on many outdoor adventures. Although, he might still be a little young for the level of “extremity” that the Alaskan Bush People star is used to.

Another reason for Brown’s recent family-centered post may come from a more tragic story. After his mother successfully beat her lung cancer, the Alaskan Bush People family lost someone they didn’t expect–Billy Brown. Earlier this year, Billy Brown passed away after suffering an unexpected seizure. He was 68 years old.

Of course, for Bear Brown and the rest of his siblings, the loss of their “Da” was heartbreaking. Only six months after his death, it’s very possible that the Alaskan Bush People star is still mourning and processing his father’s untimely passing. Posting photos of the happier moments in Billy Brown’s life likely brings his son a sense of peace and comfort. In fact, this is exactly what Bear did back in February when his father first passed away.

In the days after his death, Brown filled his Instagram page with some of his happiest moments next to his wife and with his grandson. Although he missed his father greatly, Brown still shared his appreciation for the fact that his father could meet River before he died.

“I’m glad my Dad got to meet my son, his grandson, I will always remember the twinkle in his eyes when he held him!” the Alaskan Bush People star wrote in a caption, “Hold tight to your loved ones! You never know when it’s the last moment you’ll get with them!”
