Alaskan Bush People alum Matt Brown announced to his followers that he’s “been going through some personal stuff,” and, like always, he wanted to share how these recent feelings have affected his recovery process and vise versa. Lately, Brown has dedicated his Instagram page to a series of self-help tutorials that demonstrate different communication and mental health topics. But this time, Brown wanted to speak to a more personal issue that had been on his mind – his family.

“Hi friends this is a quick check in slash recovery video about how hard it can be sometimes to get thru a rough day, and when the tools don’t work how to focus on getting thru anyway,” the former Alaskan Bush People star shared in the caption of the video. “I feel it’s about knowing tomorrow will be better as long as we can wake up and even know the world hammered on us we still didn’t lose. I hope this finds everyone doing well out there.”

It’s been a while since Brown last spoke about his estranged family. The last time we heard about the developments with the rest of the Wolf Pack was after the death of his father. According to the former Alaskan Bush People star, he had reconciled with his dad while he was alive, but matters with the surviving members of his family were still shaky. In fact, in the past, Brown even claimed that his mother and siblings were withholding the money he had earned from the time on the show.

That’s what brought him to today’s issue.

‘Alaskan Bush People’ Family Apparently Has Some Shiny New Toys… and That Irks Matt Brown

Part of the reason Matt Brown was so upset was that he had seen some of his siblings “drive around in their new cars and all of their money,” and it reminded him of “what they took” from him.

This comes as a bit of a shock to Alaskan Bush People fans since their late father Billy seemingly worked so hard to establish their independence from flashier luxuries. But perhaps Matt Brown could see what is otherwise kept a secret to the public.

Usually, as Brown explained, he doesn’t allow the monetary discrepancies with his family to get underneath his skin. But every now and then, those “tools” that he learned from his recovery process just don’t help as much as he hopes. But instead of brooding by himself, the former Alaskan Bush People star decided to try to make something positive out of his ill feelings and create a video that would perhaps help others that faced a similar situation.
