It seems like Danielle Colby is getting back on the American Pickers grind according to a recent Instagram post from the 45-year-old.
When she’s not finding incredible steals like this incredible Jell-o wagon, Colby can be found online sharing thoughts and updates. In a post put up on July 29, the personality says she’s hitting the pavement.
In the photo, the American Pickers star is casually sitting on a bench. Colby is wearing denim overalls, an unbuttoned collared shirt, and a bandana. Essentially, the classic style she’s become known for over the years. On top of that, she has a mask on.
“Road Dog Diaries are back on my Patreon as I prepare to head back on the road for a couple of weeks,” Colby also adds in a caption.
It’s unclear if she’s talking about more work for American Pickers or if the traveling is related to one of her other passions like burlesque. For those unaware, Colby dances and teaches burlesque.
Many fans came to either express their appreciation and love for the personality. Meanwhile, others commented on the state of American Pickers after the confirmation that Frank Fritz would no longer be on the show.
Danielle Colby Stars Throughout American Pickers Season 22
With the departure of Frank Fritz, there was some concern over whether Colby’s role would change. Based on the first 18 episodes of the current season, that concern is unfounded.
Colby has been a key part of the season, from finding 1920s cars to getting in touch with her love of burlesque. So while Fritz’s absence is a significant shakeup, it seems like the changes stop there.
Instead of Fritz, fans have been seeing more of Mike Wolfe’s brother, Robbie. Robbie has appeared in a lot of episodes of American Pickers over the years, but has taken on a much bigger role in Season 22.
Coming into the new season, Robbie Wolfe had 76 appearances, stemming all the way back to Season 1. However, there’s no question that Robbie is the de facto replacement for Fritz. Considering he has appeared in every episode of Season 22, the void left by Fritz is being filled by Robbie.
Ratings for Show Go Up without Frank Fritz
Interestingly and somewhat surprisingly, American Pickers has seen a rise in viewers. This could be due to fans wanting to see what the show is like after recent news. It could also just be a situation where the switch improved the entertainment.
The last episode to feature Fritz had 1.28 million viewers during its broadcast, whereas recent episodes are all clocking in at 1.3 million or more viewers.
