Fans of the History Channel show aren’t happy that the duo of Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe from American Pickers won’t be returning together.

That’s because Fritz said hasn’t spoken with Wolfe in almost two years. The antique-hunting show was a big hit for History Channel from 2010 until 2020 but went on hiatus during the pandemic. The show has resumed production but without Fritz, Entertainment Weekly said. It’s unclear why, but Fritz said the two have spoken in years.

“I haven’t talked to Mike in two years,” Fritz told PEOPLE magazine. “He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is.”

Wolfe took to Instagram to confirm the reports that Fritz won’t return to American Pickers, but he didn’t touch on their supposed rift.

“I have known Frank for as long as I can remember, he’s been like a brother to me. The journey that Frank, Dani, and I started back in 2009, like all of life, has come with its highs and lows, blessings and challenges, but it has also been the most rewarding,” Wolfe said.

“The support that you all have given us has been a constant reminder of what the show’s message has always been; thru these places, people, and things we all have a common thread. We’re here to not only take care of the past but also each other.

“I will miss Frank, just like all of you, and I pray for the very best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey,” he concluded.

‘American Pickers’ Fans Not Happy Over Hosts’ Split

Part of American Pickers’ appeal was the banter and interplay between Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz. Both have their quirks for sure, but together they made an interesting pair. And many fans said if Frank isn’t part of the show, it ruins the appeal.

“You guys should grow up and get over whatever bs split you apart for the sake of your fans. Tbh you guys are nothing without each other,” one fan wrote.

“Can’t say I watch anymore but the dynamic between the two of you was what made the show good, just saying,” one person wrote,” posted another.

“May as well cancel the show. Without Frank it just isn’t the same,” another person posted about American Pickers.

Though some fans took a more zen approach to the announcement, believing that most partnerships and even friendships will end.

“There are some very sad comments on here. People grow. People change and people drift apart,” someone wrote. “They don’t have to stay for your benefit. If they need to grow apart that’s their business.”
