The stars of “American Pickers” are only human. And that means they’re prone to the same types of issues and drama that the majority of us see in our own personal lives from time to time. Recently, it was made public that Frank Fritz, co-host of the show and lifelong friend of fellow star Mike Wolfe, wouldn’t be returning. The reasons for Fritz’s initial leave of absence from the show are multiple, and one of them ties into the meaning behind a tattoo he sports.
Fans were bummed to learn that Frank Fritz wouldn’t return to “American Pickers” when it was reported recently. Fans of the show were holding out hope that the reasons he hasn’t appeared in the current season had to do with his continuing health problems. Of course, no one wanted him to have health problems. But if it was simply his back surgery or Crohn’s disease that were preventing him from returning, then there was a chance he’d return eventually.
Alas, it looks as if “American Pickers” has no intention of inviting him back. To make matters worse, Fritz has been dealing with emotional trauma on top of all the physical health problems. Forget the fact that his friend of 40-years and TV partner Mike Wolfe hasn’t spoken to him in two years. Frank Fritz and his ex-fiancée Diann Bankson went through an ugly split last year.
After accusations both leveled against each other for cheating, Diann Bankson actually filed a lawsuit against Fritz. The charges stemmed from an incident involving a firework that apparently went off inside Fritz and Bankson’s home, injuring her. She had the charges dropped, but it didn’t put an end to their infidelity problems.
The ‘American Pickers’ Star and His Ex Maintain That the Other Cheated First
Frank Fritz claimed that his ex-fiancée had been cheating on him for two and half years. Bankson defended herself, claiming that she walked in on him, finding Fritz in bed with another woman.
“American Pickers” star Frank Fritz denies being caught red-handed. But he does admit to having a woman over. According to him, however, it only happened because Diann had already been carrying on an affair. Following all of the drama, Fritz got a tattoo to remind him that his ex-fiancée was a cheater. Pretty heavy subject matter for body art, but hey, to each their own.
“She’s the cheater, that’s why I got a tattoo saying ‘Once a cheater always a cheater.’ I got the tattoo two years ago just to remind myself not to make the same mistake again. She cost me six figures,” Fritz told The Sun. “She was cheating a lot longer than me. I had someone over at the house, but that’s all it was. She didn’t catch me in the act, it was nothing like that.”
