‘American Pickers’ Star Mike Wolfe Makes Overwhelming Majority of His Income Outside of Show and Picking

Thanks to his popular antiquing television show, “American Pickers,” Mike Wolfe has become famous. He is also a very wealthy man.

However, it was not just the reality series that brought Wolfe the majority of his fortune. According to Looper, the 57-year-old makes the majority of his income through endeavors other than what viewers see on television.

One of the most significant sources of income for this “American Pickers” host is clothing. In 2015, he said that the fame of the show helped make him into a clothing retailer. He said that he sold many clothing items from his Antique Archaeology business.

“Ninety percent of our sales are clothing, so all of a sudden I’m in the clothing business,” Mike Wolfe told Fast Company. “I’m looking at what we’re making for spring. I’m looking at hard goods, soft goods, how those goods are presented in my store; the function, the flow, the lighting, how it’s focused, where it’s at, how close is it to the cash register. I’m constantly having meetings with my team to know what’s selling and what’s not, and I just learned recently that our number-one-selling shirt doesn’t have our logo on it.”

Mike Wolfe Has Stores in Iowa and Tennessee

Mike Wolfe has two Antique Archaeology stores. His first was opened in LeClaire, Iowa. He opened his second store in 2011. It is located in Nashville, Tennessee.

In addition to selling items from his stores, the “American Pickers” star was also looking to sell his clothing at other stores. These stores included some very famous retailers. And, Wolfe believed doing so would really help expand his sales.

“Now we’re looking at brand licensing and merchandising,” he explained. “Take it to Kohl’s, take it to JCPenny’s. My stores do millions of dollars a year in sales in merchandise, but not what they would do on a Black Friday at a big-box store.”

‘American Pickers’ Star Mike Wolfe Has Also Made Money from Real Estate

In addition to his retail clothing business, “American Pickers” star Mike Wolfe has also made money from real estate investments. Wolfe said in 2015 that he used funds he earned from picking to get into the real estate business.

“Every time I did really well with a pick, I’d put the money down and buy a building,” Wolfe shared.

Clothing and real estate aren’t the only activities Mike Wolfe does outside of “American Pickers.” He is also an author. His children’s book, “Kid Pickers” was released in 2013. Along with this book, a website was created that allows children to connect with one another and talk about their collections.

Thanks to all his endeavors, “American Pickers” host Mike Wolfe is a multi-millionaire. He reportedly has a net worth of $7 million.
