“American Pickers” may be a solo act for the foreseeable future. The show is reportedly parting ways with Frank Fritz for good. The reality star hasn’t been a part of the show since March 2020. And that doesn’t appear to be changing any time soon.

According to TMZ, “American Pickers” is moving forward with just Mike Wolfe as the host of the show. There are no plans for Fritz to rejoin the show in the future. But the move doesn’t have anything to do with the reported fallout between Fritz and Wolfe.

Rather, Frank Fritz left “American Pickers” last March due to his health. The reality star is battling Crohn’s disease and also complications related to back surgery. Fritz stepped away from the show to focus on his own health issues. But he admittedly felt hurt that neither Wolfe nor the “American Pickers” crew supported him during his health scare.

In fact, Wolfe didn’t bother to reach out to Fritz nor even send a get-well-soon card. The once “American Pickers” dynamic duo seems to be separated for good. Fritz revealed that he hasn’t talked to Wolfe in nearly two years at this point.

“He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is. The show is tilted towards him 1,000 percent. I can’t even bend that far down to show you how much. That’s fine. It’s like you’ve got Aerosmith and there’s Steven Tyler and he’s the frontman,” Fritz told The Sun. “I found my spot, I’m second and he’s number one on the show. That’s no problem with me, maybe he does have a problem.”

‘American Pickers’ Continues to Air

According to TMZ, “American Pickers” said it was Frank Fritz’s choice to leave. They also feel that the show is working just fine with Mike Wolfe as its sole host. But long-time fans may feel that the show is missing some of that magic of old. The reality show thrived on the chemistry between Fritz and Wolfe, their dynamic bringing about much of the show’s humor.

Likewise, Fritz believes he brought a valuable element to the show that’s missing otherwise. Fritz was a host for all of the every-men out there. Recently, he’s been working on weight loss, losing nearly 70 pounds through exercise to improve his health.

“You couldn’t just stick two people in a van and get the chemistry you get from me and Mike. We’ve known each other for about 40 years. We can finish each other’s sentences. When everybody is getting along and there’s no drama, me and him are very good together,” Fritz continued.

Fritz believes Wolfe wants his cousin Robbie to be co-host on the show. But for now, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
