American Pickers star Danielle Colby is known for doing many things in addition to her role on the show. One of which is prominent photoshoots, with her most recent one channeling her inner goldfish.

The phrase regarding goldfish was a conscious choice, as Colby is seen swimming in a goldfish costume. The video is in slow motion and begins with her far away from the camera before slowly closing the gap. The outfit’s colors really complement the water, almost acting like a vibrant smokescreen behind her. The clip finishes with her right in front of the camera and surfacing.

“My friend at @oakumcollection made this beautiful Goldfish costume for me to wear above or under water,” Colby captions the post. “The best thing about this costume is how sturdy it is. We did a whole day of filming and a photo shoot in this set and it’s still completely intact. Thank you @oakumcollection for making my goldfish dreams come true! Having more than 4,000 likes already, it seems as if Colby’s followers approve the clip and wardrobe choice.

Danielle Colby Talks About ‘Investing Her Energy Where It Is Valued’ and Water ‘Healing Her’

Danielle Colby obviously enjoys her work on American Pickers, with her energy being palpable. However, her life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, with her saying she’s mindful of where she uses her energy and how water “heals” her.

The stress involving Frank Fritz the past few months was well-cited with Colby. She frequently posted things about the turbulence with him and things like her mind being “scattered.” The feud even prompted her to quote writer Alex Elle, saying, “I am committed to investing my energy in places and people that value it.”

Additionally, she shared a photo on Instagram similar to the goldfish video of herself in the water earlier this month, saying the water relaxes her.

“Is it because I’m a fire sign that I feel so drawn to the water when things get turbulent? Is it because I grew up in a landlocked place and feel the need to make up for lost time? Did my Irish ancestors hide the truth about being part Selkie? I may never know for sure, but one thing is for certain and that is the water heals me. Colby isn’t the first to say that. Though swimming in salt water isn’t advised with open wounds, some studies suggest it can in fact be helpful.
