“American Pickers” star Danielle Colby keeps her fans up to date via social media. In the wake of Frank Fritz’s departure from the show, she has taken to Instagram to share her thoughts on a few occasions. Recently, she posted an interesting quote that might say something about any number of things. But it may have to do with some of the backlash she and Mike Wolfe have received since the show pivoted away from Fritz.
In fact, over the past few weeks, she has been consistently posting, citing things like turbulence and her mind becoming “scattered.”
The Sun reports Colby posting a quote from the writer Alex Elle on her story earlier this week. “I am committed to investing my energy in places and people that value it,” she reportedly wrote.
A few days ago, the “American Pickers” star shared a photo of her swimming in the ocean.
“Is it because I’m a fire sign that I feel so drawn to the water when things get turbulent? Is it because I grew up in a landlocked place and feel the need to make up for lost time?” Colby wrote in the caption. “I may never know for sure, but one thing is for certain and that is the water heals me.”
It’s not just her emotions that Colby reveals either. She has a longstanding passion for burlesque and often posts pictures and videos along those lines. She loves striptease and offers paid routines to fans.
“Learn through my mistakes! I will be posting my fails as well as my accomplishments so you will get to see how the sausage is made,” the “American Pickers” star writes on her website.
The Fateful Day ‘American Pickers’ Star Danielle Colby Met Mike Wolfe
Okay, maybe not as old as time. But a fun story, nonetheless. Apparently, Danielle Colby was equally taken aback and intrigued by Mike Wolfe sniping the lamp out from under her.
“Sorry girl, the time to buy it is when you see it,” Wolfe reportedly said as he left Colby in the dust.
“I liked his sass. … We were pretty much inseparable after that,” Colby told Freshly Inked in 2019.
The rest is “American Pickers” history. And to think it all started with Mike Wolfe doing what he does best, looking for some rusty gold at an unassuming place like a garage sale.
“American Pickers” is currently in its 22nd season and airs on History Mondays at 9/8c.
