“American Pickers” star Mike Wolfe is all about rescuing and restoring antiques and vintage objects. However, according to his latest Instagram post, he is also passionate about his dog and the welfare of other LeClaire, Iowa dogs.
In his post, he encourages followers to aid in his mission to bring an off-leash dog park to his community. He captions the post, “Francie Wolfe has enough baseballs to share with all of her furry friends but nowhere to play fetch.”
And truthfully, she does appear pretty distraught at having no friends to play with.
In his post, Wolfe also details how LeClaire residents can utilize to bring an improved dog park to the area. “The city qualifies for a grant that would help create a dog park to the area – but your VOTE is needed to secure the project.”
Wolfe additionally made the voting link available in his Instagram bio, which is open until the 31st of this month. So if you want to help bring a new park to LeClaire, Iowa for Francie and her friends, now would be your opportunity to do so.
The ‘American Pickers’ Star Dedicates Himself to Several Causes
While Mike Wolfe has a passion for both collecting and pooches, his passions and charity work frequently lie elsewhere. Being the sole face of “American Pickers” following the absence of Frank Fritz surely has its perks. First, the star is able to put a lot more money into the things and organizations he is passionate about.
One of those organizations goes by the title, Operation Smile. Operation Smile benefits children by providing surgeries surrounding physical abnormalities and deformities free of charge. Wolfe became invested with this particular organization as his daughter Charlie was born with a cleft lip and palate. Not only does the “American Pickers” star dedicate time and money to the Operation Smile organization. He also serves as an ambassador for the charity group. Wolfe’s participation has no doubt aided in providing more surgeries for children suffering from similar physical problems. However, he’s also brought recognition to these various conditions and the importance of learning about and combatting them.

The campaign began with the Historic Variety Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio. Overall, however, the campaign itself seeks to aid in the protection and restoration of historic and important buildings within communities across the United States.
Though the Ohio Theatre won the benefits of the campaign, it was also received a visit from Mike Wolfe. The building further received protection from those who would seek to tear it down. Though, it nevertheless drew attention to several other significant and historic buildings nationally. The star further emphasized that buildings/architecture, in addition to cars and other objects, hold just as much historic significance as anything else.
