The current season of “American Pickers” has seen big changes to all three of the show’s main personalities. Frank Fritz has been exiled from the show following all kinds of drama. Mike Wolfe started dating Leticia Cline in the wake of his own divorce from his wife of 10 years. And Danielle Colby, the woman who runs the Antique Archaeology office, got engaged to her boyfriend, Jeremy Scheuch.
Since 2010, Danielle Colby has been featured in nearly every single episode of “American Pickers.” Most often, it’s over the phone as Mike and Frank needed a point woman holding down the fort back at the office while they’re out on the road. It’s safe to say that the dynamic has changed.
For one, Frank Fritz is no longer involved with the show. He initially took a leave of absence due to his health challenges. And he wasn’t technically fired for this, but he has recently expressed a desire to return to the show. Unfortunately, “American Pickers” seems to have no intention of bringing him back. So now the show rests on Mike and Danielle’s shoulders.
‘American Pickers’ Stars and Matters of the Heart
Funnily enough, the two remaining stars have both been dealing with some major romantic matters recently. Mike Wolfe is in the middle of a divorce, and he recently started dating model Leticia Cline. Danielle Colby, on the other hand, has recently gotten engaged to her longtime boyfriend. Her second marriage came to an end in 2015. So what’s the story there?
Well, Alexandre De Meyer, a French graphic designer, filed for divorce from Colby in 2015 after a few short years of marriage. It’s hard to know exactly why the couple split up. But in 2012, Colby divorced her first husband with whom she shares custody of two children.
Since splitting up with De Meyer in 2015, however, the “American Pickers” star has been dating Jeremy Scheuch. It took them six years to finally make the leap.
“I did a thing! After almost 6 long years, I finally made an honest man out of my king @jscheuch feel free to head over to Patreon and watch the proposal video for yourself, I actually proposed to him on my birthday while we were filming my birthday burlesque show!” Colby wrote on her Instagram post announcing her engagement in December 2020.
For the time being, it appears that Danielle Colby is going to continue working on “American Pickers.” Though, she has been transparent about her marine biology aspirations and currently lives in Puerto Rico, pursuing opportunities to that end.
With all the turmoil surrounding the show as of late, it’s easy to forget that Season 22 of “American Pickers” is still underway.
