Since she suffered a serious leg injury last month, Ashley Judd’s family and friends have rallied around the famous actress. One of those family members is her sister, Wynonna Judd.

In fact, Ashley has asked Wynonna, her older half-sister, to help her do a basic task that many of us take for granted every day. That task? Wash her hair.

According to a report by Page Six, Ashley reached out to Wynonna to request assistance. Wynonna shared this information during a recent interview with the publication.

“I was looking up how to wash hair for someone who’s lying down in bed because (Ashley) texted me, ‘Can you wash my hair?'” Wynonna reportedly said to Page Six.

Even though the Judd sisters are famous, taking care of one another is important to each of them. And, Wynonna Judd is ready to help her younger sister. In fact, she says it’s her “job.”

“Therein lies the job of a big sister right there,” Wynonna reportedly said. “(Ashley) said, ‘I have a request. Can you wash my hair?’ I said, ‘Sure,’ so I’m looking up ways to wash someone’s hair lying down.”

News of Ashley Judd’s injury hit sister Wynonna pretty hard. The country singer told Page Six that she is “still processing” how Ashley was injured and the days that followed her devastating injury. When she saw Ashley for the first time after the accident in the Congo that left her sister with a severely broken leg, Wynonna Judd reportedly cried.

Wynonna is also very thankful that Ashley Judd is still alive after the accident in Africa last month. According to Page Six, she believes Ashley still being alive and healing is “a miracle.”

Ashley Judd Shares Harrowing Account of Devastating Leg Injury

As the calendar changed from February to March, Ashley Judd continued to recover from her severe leg injury. Late last month, the movie star shared details of the accident that led to her leg-shattering injury and what happened in the days that followed.

According to an article by the Daily Mail, she suffered the injury while on a trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. While she was in the jungle viewing bonobos monkeys, she fell over a tree and severely broke her leg.

After she was hurt, it took 55 hours for Judd to be taken from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa.

“I arrived to them from (Democratic Republic of Congo) in terrible shape and my leg had no pulse,” Judd reportedly posted to Instagram on Feb. 22. Along with the comment, she shared images of the medical professionals who cared for her. “… I desperately needed a blood transfusion. Their sisters (nurses) are exemplary, technically top-notch, and they cared for the trauma in my body as well as my soul with equal proficiency.”

Thanks to the work of Dr. Eugene Greeff, Ashley Judd’s leg was stabilized and she underwent surgery. Her father, Michael Ciminella, went to South Africa to be there with Ashley Judd. He then accompanied her back to the United States. Their trip home took around 22 hours, according to the Daily Mail.

Once on American soil, Ashley Judd had to have another surgery on her wounded leg.

“I had to continue to wait for the tissue damage and swelling to reduce,” Judd reportedly posted. “Eventually I was qualified to have the eight-hour surgery to repair the bones, decompress the hemorrhaging nerve and pick the shards of bones out of the nerve. I am now recovering from surgery.”
