‘Being the Ricardos’ Star Javier Bardem Lines Up Next Project Following Lucille Ball Film

Fans of Javier Bardem will soon get to see him play a television icon in an upcoming movie. That film, of course, is “Being the Ricardos,” and it tells the story of “I Love Lucy” stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Bardem will play Arnaz, while Nicole Kidman will play the famous and funny redhead, Lucille Ball.

However, this project will not be the last for the actor. According to Deadline, Bardem already has his next project in the works.

So, what’s up next for Oscar winner Javier Bardem?

Reports say that he will next appear in a new project titled, “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile,” which is being made for Sony Pictures. The film is reportedly based on a novel of the same name. This book, which was written by Bernard Waber, hit the shelves in 1965. The book tells the story of a crocodile who resides in New York City on East 88th Street.

This crocodile’s name is Lyle. He loves living with the Primm family in their home. He even contributes to the house by performing needed tasks, as well as being a friend to the children who live nearby. Unfortunately, drama starts in Lyle’s life when a man and his cat who live in their neighborhood argue that Lyle shouldn’t live with humans. They want him to go live in a zoo.

In order to try to stay in his New York City home, Lyle tries to win over the man, whose name is Mr. Grumps, by being kind. To find out what happens, you will have to watch “Being the Ricardos” star Javier Bardem in the film. Or, purchase the book.

Academy Award Winners Involved in Upcoming Javier Bardem Film

In addition to “Being the Ricardos” star Javier Bardem, several other names are already attached to the “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile” project. These include Josh Gordon and Will Speck. There are new songs being created for the new film by Justin Paul and Benj Pasek. They won an Academy Award for their work in the film “La La Land.”

They also have worked on the film “Dear Evan Hansen,” which is yet to be released. “Being the Ricardos” star Javier Bardem’s film “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile” is expected to be released in July 2022.

Even though there was some backlash involving the casting of the “Being the Ricardos” film, a person very close to Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz has been pleased what with she has seen from the film.

That person is Lucie Arnaz. She is the only daughter of Ball and Arnaz. Recently, Lucie shared photos from the production. And, she shared that she was very pleased with what she saw.

“Just got back from the most amazing couple of days on the set of our Amazon-Escape Artist-Aaron Sorkin-Nicole Kidman-Javier Bardem Lucy-Desi ‘Being The Ricardos’ feature film and I can’t wait to share some photos and my stories with you,” Lucie Arnaz shared on Instagram. “It’s still pretty hush hush, so I am restricted to just a few teasers right now. But, let me just say, I think we are going to have a lot of very surprised naysayers. … I was blown away.”
