Nicole Kidman is celebrating the release of her brand new series, “Nine Perfect Strangers,” which is premiering on Hulu.

She recorded a video that starts with her saying, “Hi everyone, I’m Nicole Kidman, I play Masha on ‘Nine Perfect Strangers.'” She goes on to compliment the all-star talent and hard work of everyone on set, which includes Melissa McCarthy and Michael Shannon.

“Today’s the day, we are finally premiering Nine Perfect Strangers. Thank you to all the cast and crew for putting so much passion into the show and making it what it is, we hope you enjoy. #NinePerfectStrangers out now on Hulu!” she captioned the video.

“Nine Perfect Strangers” is based on the New York Times bestselling book by Liane Moriarty. The show takes place at a boutique health and wellness resort. Nine different guests visit the resort in the hopes of transformative healing. Nicole Kidman plays the resort director, Masha.

It’s not going to be quite as relaxing and invigorating as they thought, however. They’re all in for an eery surprise.

“Hopefully you laugh, hopefully you cry, hopefully you feel frightened, intrigued, curious, and you hang on for the ride,” Kidman said during a “Good Morning America” interview.

David E. Kelley is one of the creators of the show. He is also behind popular shows like “Big Little Lies” and “Big Sky.”

Nicole Kidman is no stranger to keeping busy. In 2020 she had roles in “The Undoing,” and “The Prom.” She also has two other projects in post-production in 2021 – “The Northman” and “Being the Ricardos.” She also signed on for a TV show called “Roar.”

Nicole Kidman and ‘Being the Ricardos’

It seems as though all of Nicole Kidman’s roles are heavily anticipated. However, when the award-winning actress was cast as Lucille Ball in Aaron Sorkin’s “Being the Ricardos,” fans were intrigued.

The movie will star Kidman and Javier Bardem as iconic Hollywood couple and stars of “I Love Lucy,” Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. The movie focuses on their relationship and the behind-the-scenes of one week on the show.

Nina Arianda, J.K. Simmons, Jake Lacy, and Alia Shawkat are all set to star alongside Kidman and Bardem. It is also currently in post-production.

Along for the ride has been Lucie Arnaz, the daughter of the iconic couple. She told Palm Springs Life recently that “there are certain scenes that I wished hadn’t been.”

“I couldn’t get my way and have them taken out, but they weren’t accurate. And I thought, ‘That shouldn’t be in there, because that never happened. That’s not true.’ And it’s not just theatrical license, it just wasn’t true. And the day they shot the scene, the sprinklers went off on the set and destroyed the whole set,” Lucie Arnaz said.

Aaron Sorkin is still being accurate, but he has to use some creative liberty in the process. For example, he is inserting true events that happened, just not in that timeline. Arnaz seems to approve anyway. That likely means fans are in for a treat.

“I think they are accurate composites of these people … What I saw was extraordinarily classy and first rate. The people that he has cast are just really great performers,” Arnaz said.
