Bette Midler Calls Upon GOP: ‘Tell Their President That This Must Stop’

Actress Bette Midler is calling on the GOP to stand up and challenge Trump’s recent claims that the election is being rigged.

In her latest Tweet, Bette Midler is taking to challenging Donald Trump once again. This time, however, she’s calling on the Republican Party and GOP at large to hold the sitting President accountable.

“Trump’s unsubstantiated attacks on the vote count continued to overshadow the election. Officials & newspapers around the world lamented the polarization & dysfunction in the world’s oldest democracy,” Midler quotes on Twitter.

“It’s time for the #GOP to tell their president that this must stop. #Enough,” she adds.

Moreover, Midler was labeling Trump’s behavior on the social media site a “complete breakdown”.

“The reality star is freaking out in real time and it’s thrilling to watch,” she tweets. “After four years of treachery, treason, cruelty, malevolence and lies.” In addition, she hopes “he has a complete breakdown, and we get to watch.”

“It’s reality TV, folks!” she finishes.

Harsh words for harsh times.

Trump Challenges American Democracy and Republican Leadership During Election

The President’s wave of claims comes after Trump announced a conference yesterday evening amidst what he perceives as “voter fraud”. Within, Trump stumbles over conspiracy theories as to what is currently happening. And as American Democracy unfolds and votes come in, his behavior continues to escalate.

As the 2020 Presidential Election has progressed, several states are tipping toward Democratic nominee Joe Biden later in the count. This happened in favor of Trump in 2016. This time, however, since the tipping is blue, he’s lashing out. President Trump is even going as far as accusing States like Georgia – which house Republican leadership, of “voter fraud”.

Several tweets have been made by the president in addition to this one. At least seven have been censored by Twitter.

Twitter, however, only flags tweets that third-party sources find to be fraudulent or misleading. According to the social media giant, “Some or all of the content shared [by Donald Trump] is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process.”

As a result of total votes taking days to count in several states, America is still waiting for its next President to be declared the winner.
