On the heels of their engagement, “The Voice” sweethearts Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are reportedly in talks to hammer out a prenup agreement.

The couple want an agreement before they walk down the aisle, US Weekly reports. A source told the magazine that “they have been in prenup talks for a few months” and the “process has been extremely effortless.”

A Prenup Between ‘Mature Adults’

The source added that there have been “no hiccups, or outrageous demands” because Stefani and Shelton are “two mature adults that love each other.”

Stefani, 51, and Shelton, 44, announced their engagement on Oct. 27 after dating for five years. According to a timeline compiled by People magazine, they first met in April of 2014. Stefani was still married to Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale. Shelton was still married to country singer Miranda Lambert.

Both couples divorced over the summer of 2015. Rossdale has called the divorce his “most embarrassing moment.”

Before and After ‘The Voice’

Stefani confessed to Seth Meyers that she was completely oblivious to Shelton’s existence before she appeared on “The Voice.”

“I also think about this a lot. I love to play this game with myself where I picture myself in my Voice chair, right, because I didn’t know Blake Shelton existed before I went on that show,” Stefani said. “Meanwhile he’s literally one of the biggest, like, 27 number one radio hits, you know, he’s insane. So, I just always like to picture myself and think about before I knew him and that first season I didn’t know him at all.”

Stefani and Shelton have spent much of the pandemic on Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma. They told ET that they learned how to make jam and sourdough bread together over the summer. They planted zinnias. And they spent some quality time with Stefani’s three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

“If we’re working, if we’re on the ranch, if we’re in this crisis, this world pandemic, we’re finding happiness,” Stefani said recently.
